Wellcome to the Hobo Road System! After seeing what you guys thought about having a road system I decided to make a one and here's what I got. What is the Hobo Road System? The Hobo Road System is just a system of roads that connect towns together. The road it self is very simple and is just cobble stone and has maybe a couple of "shelters" along it. Anyone can join us and help in making roads if you like. Why do we need the Hobo Road System? Why do we need a road system we have portals, people are far away, and we're to lazy to build it. Yes we do have a portal system and its great to get to places fast, but it cost a lot of money 75-100k per portal. The Hobo Road System only cost as much as you want to pay witch could be 50$ to 800$ if that! The only thing that you need to build a road in the Hobo Road System is stacks of Cobblestone and some Stone Solves! Ok so it's cheap to build but other towns are to far away... Well who said you had to build it? You could hired or ask if anyone would like to dig the little road over to them and let them keep what they get! Then all you would have to do is place some cobble stone and its done! Ok so just about anyone can build this road its simple and cheap but I still don't want to build it. Well if you don't want to build a road that connects to the Hobo Road System that's find with me, let us build the road to you. Where is the Hobo Road System? It is located in the Rising World where all the towns are or /wild land. Are you building roads to ocean towns? Nope or not yet anyways. What do I get from having a road that connects to the Hobo Road System? Well first of you get to keep what ever you dug up this is a free simple road system. Second you can get random people showing up in your town, just because they found a road and they followed it to your town. How much dose this Hobo Road System cost? Well the Hobo Road System is just made out of cobble stone that is place one block down on the ground. So it would only cost as much as you want to pay for the cobble stone. There is price for joining the Hobo Road System. How are the roads made? They are made by ding down two blocks then placing one piece of coble stone very cheap. What stage is the Hobo Road System in now? The Hobo Road System is already underway and is already connected to a couple of downs. What if I don't want a road to me town? Well if you don't want a road connected to the Hobo Road System then we wont connect it to you. Should I work the Hobo Road System in to my own road system for my town? Well yes if you would like to, it would help people who walk in to your town. But if don't want to work it in that's ok with us! How can I help by building a road? I'd be happy to donate my time/cobble to help build some roads! I have an eff7 Pick, and eff5 shovel so clearing should be quick, also a full chest of cobblestone available Send me a PM in game or on the forums and I can organize a donation.
This is a good idea but the problem with connecting towns with roads is that it's in the wild so it will probably get griefed.
Thanks! So far I have not seen any signs of griefing at all and there is not much to gain from griefing some cobblestone
The towns listed are up to date and are apart of the main system. I have a road currently running out of Lancaster that connects to some towns, but is not connected to the main road system and there for I don't have it listed, mostly because its not fully built.
Love to help, i could get cobble and stuff, and maybe i could get rails for quickness, but i just dont have a good shovel. i am willing to dig if i can get free ereps along the way and coords to the next town if someone is willing to dig to my town also, im trying to bring business to my town which is underway, so i could provide some supplies for little huts with food and everything. I am willing to do all of this if someone makes a path to my town. i can provide my time and supplies even if someone will not dig toward my town, but i will not be as motivated and you wont get "hobos" from my town
I would be able to help you with your need for free ereps - The best way to contact me is by mail in game. I also have chests in my spawn shop where I am able to do free smelting and ereps - I try to check them 3 or 4 times a day.
