Today on ECC was a very... weird day for me. I began the day buying a horse egg, cheap, 20k. I then split it with my sister, Boomble123, and we made a nice break proof stable for it. We then spawned it and named it Sparkles (after me of course). Long story short someone stole the horse and I eventually got it back for 30k:/ ANYWAYS! Here is the journey... After the horse was stolen I began to look at fancier stables with VERY nice protection. Nicodemux had some very nice ones for sale 10k for a small one, that is what I bought. As you may know, horses cannot be teleported with you. So..... this was going to be a very LARGE transfer from my cheap stable to nicos stable. It would be over 9,000 blocks to his town. After gathering enough courage to let my horse go that far, I got some amazing help from origamimaster10 and annyonion They both had the fly donation feature so our plan was to safely fly my horse with a lead to the stable. This seemed quite easy at first, but after 10 minutes, then 20... soon we were still 4k blocks away and 45 minutes in to our journey. While everyone on ECC was selling plots or buying armor, we were flying a horse 9k blocks to a stable. About half of the journey was water and we ran into many old towns. It was actually quite fun we eventually found a strange little town, it was mostly fun little rides and water slides. I stopped and swam over to the town. Origami and anny followed and we rode the wat seem like abandoned rides for 5 minutes. 1 hour later we hit a giant 200x200 lava wall.... well, we hit many strange obstacles such as, gigantic walls, pits that went to bedrock, dark tunnels etc etc. Eventually we made it to the stable The horse was safe and sound! Like my second horse i got i bought. I had no idea the journey i was into until i bought it. Needless to say i traveled at least 24,ooo blocks and spent like 2-3 hours bringing him home. When i was 1000 blocks til i was home the server derped and killed him somehow. I raged so hard.
Your description of abandoned rides and water slides reminded me of Rachel8484's town. I wonder if you actually were in it.
I was doing this too! Bringing my horse from my old town to my private town and it fell of a ravine, the lead snapped and it died. :'(
We flew it over water mostly because yes it was safer... However we also crossed lots of lands/hills/platforms which required riding + lead (just in case someone was around and wanted to steal the horse with a lead). SnDxCH4RG3R Thats why we traveled in threes'... to better protect/catch the lead if it ever broke----which it did! Twice the lead broke but luckily only over water, and there was always someone behind to cover and catch if it broke. Sorry for your lose. :'(
Exactly what I did today, I spawned my horse in nico's town a accidentally while looking for stables but then decided I should move him to a different stable about 4k blocks away, then as a late birthday present blowtube123 bought me a stable in nico's town, and then had to travel all the way back there -_-
PFFFT, 9k blocks? With fly? Lol... Anny had to fly 15k blocks to go get my horse that I had suffocated on by accident, then I had to go 15k blocks (10k in an ocean) BY MYSELF WITH NO FLY for 3 HOURS to get it to my town. I had to use a lead and lead it across a 10k ocean, took forever. Needless to say I was glad when I got it into a safe stable
True, I had to do a special horse search and rescue ops after you died and left the poor guy stuck on the edge of a ravine in the middle of nowhere LOL. Thank goodness I found him though hahaha.
Yes mostly over water, however we had to pass many many MANY big obstacles and when we reached land, I would rise since I don't have fly. One person would have a lead on just in case someone ran up and took it
