So, I never have new Builders in my main town (Lancaster) any more, because the town is basically a gold mine for potential griefers. And I miss having new players around, but don't want the risks. The pictures below are of my new building under development for Builders. Shops on the ground floor, a giant hall/welcome center/resource center on two, and a few floors of apartments above that. We have a 100x100x4 town farm in a separate town, so I can sell a player a home in this building without giving them perms to Lancaster. My question is this: what should go in that big room, besides tutorial-type signs? A Builder has enough locks to secure a door to an apartment and some chests. The idea is that they could live here until they make Resident, then free up the space for someone else new. I have plenty of plot towns. So this is the sort of building that never works as a business, but its purpose isn't to make money on its own. What can new players without perms find useful? Fishing towers, instructions, training things, what? Looking for ideas as to what to put in that big room, or in the apartments, besides chests, workbenches, etc.
Hey, jmich, will we have access to all these perks too? (I mean the residents of Lancaster) Just wondering. Anyway, I think some fishing tables and some mcmmo trainers would be nice. Maybe some general ECC tutorials that show the basics of the economy, for the newbies, or something like that. Storage could be helpful too.
Naturally, everyone would have access. I would hope older players would be around helping the new ones out, too. Like Lancaster was back at the beginning, before it got so spread out.
