Thank you to everyone for a wonderful year. :3

So 1 year ago today, something I think is pretty awesome happened.

4 new ECC staff members were picked (and 1 staff member returned, and that was Kuke).

1 year later, two of those four brand new, naive, jittery scared blue moderators are now both Game Admins!

That’s right, 1 year ago today, both Unknownrider and myself were given the privilege and the honour by Andrew and the staff team at that time to have a chance at being on the ECC staff team. And I don’t know what you guys think, but I would like to think that we've both done a pretty good job in getting this far.

But of course, we wouldn't be anywhere near this far if we didn't have a server and community to help us get this far.

So this is our 1 year thank you to the entire server, staff team and the rest of the community alike, for having us on your staff team, and allowing us the privilege and pleasure to come on and play and try to help you guys every single day we log on. We wouldn't be here without you guys, no matter how hard we tried. Of course we've had our bad days, the down peaks, the days we’d just like to flip a desk or two, but the fact of the matter is that the awesome community on the great server we love still keeps us coming back and playing and moderating. We volunteer our time and energy for this, and we wouldn't stick around if the community didn't make it worth it at the end of every day.

I have a couple personal thanks to give out because there are a few specific people I wouldn't have gotten here without, and one of those awesome people is SynWannabe, who I credit as being my first friend on the server and is just an awesome guy. The first couple of times I was on Ventrilo I was really shy, but Syn kind of reached out and was friendly and pleasant all around. He was a fantastic mod whose attitude and helping mannerism really made me want to apply for staff in the first place and he gave me a lot of help and advice in getting started on the staff team. Plus he has the best music bot ever.

Second huge thanks would be to Tommy_T, who isn't quite my first friend on the server but came awfully close. We were introduced to each other by a mutual friend when Tommy was a blue mod, and he also helped me an awful lot with getting settled on the server, helping me to get some of the donation features that I needed and just being full of good, helpful advice all around. He allowed me to join Shady Mountain, and he and I have been good friends ever since, with of course our little bumps and scrapes along the way. But if I had to write my ECC story, there’s not a chance I would be able to leave Tommy out of it, even if I tried to. He’s irreplaceable as a friend and I think that if we ever lost him from the staff team, he’d be irreplaceable from that too. I can’t give him enough thanks or praise for everything he’s done for me, as well as for the server too.

Of course if I really wanted I could honestly just thank everyone all day… and since I’m a bit of a long winded writer I will just give little shout outs.

So thank you to… KHobbits, kukelekuuk00, iEvolive, Netsui, Videowiz92, nickla3107, Tkick, and rabidworm for all your help at various times over this past year. I’ll be ranting at you each individually about how awesome you are and distributing cookies and hugs. (And possibly be doing the same for a few other people that I haven’t listed here.) (Also rabid gets waffles and not cookies.)


Oh, and of course thanks to Unknownrider <3 Some days I don’t think I could moderate without our insightful debates in staff vent. You've always been a pleasure to work with and I hope this time next year we get to write another thank you thread. :3


Unknown, unfortunately, is not that great with words (or so he claims, I'm not sure if I believe him) and thus, he doesn't have any personal thanks to give out at this time. He will most likely give people his personal thanks privately, and might post something here if I poke him long enough. :3
