Thread Title: Permanently Banning Abusers Minecraft Name: Lee1104 Suggestion: When someone gets unbanned and banned again, make it permanent. Reason: I have seen many people get banned for scamming others. Within a few days, a mod unbans them and they return to the ECC community. The player often starts to scam again and gets banned. Then unbanned and keeps going on and no. Instead of letting the player back on to the server after scamming several people and getting banned, make it permanent. Other Information: Many people continue scamming after they have been banned once. Link to this plugin: N/A
Andrew doesn't take suggestions on how to ban people, if someone has been un-banned, they have done so rightfully. Pretty much, this wont ever change unless Andrew does it himself.
okay. but I have seen someone been banned at least 3 times and reported by more than 1o players and he always gets unbanned
If they have been un-banned then, like I stated prior, they have been rightfully so. It's not your job to tell Andrew how to run his own server.
Andrew is very nice and is willing to forgive many times to see if people will change. (One of his best qualities to me) This is reflected on the server in people being able to be unbanned many times. Is it annoying to see someone get banned and come back just to break another rule? Yes it is. Does this mean we should not have this policy of forgiving many times? No it does not. Some very respected players have in the past been trouble makers and have been banned many times. It would have been a shame if we had perm- banned them and lost them forever.
Andrew is all about the community. Kicking people out of the community for good is a very drastic measure and is reserved for only the most harmful abusers / exploiters. The ban appeals forum is there for a reason and not for just the appeal itself. It is there for the rest of the players to check on the reputation of another person before trusting them. If you don't use it this way then it's almost partially your fault for trusting them since the information is in the public. RagMan
