TELEPORTATION SIGNS! Minecraft Name: andrewtennant Suggestion: Yes teleportation signs! Imagine walking into your town portal room, looking for your plots sign, and being teleported right in front of your plot. I found a plugin that allows for arrival and departure signs, as well as naming them, so the signs could be individualized, and you can charge for use of the departure signs. So say you set up a teleport sign for somebody, you can set the departure fee on $10 ecodollars, after awhile that builds up, its a new way to get a little money in ecc for teleport users, and it adds to the convenience of teleport which in my opinion is what it is for anyway. +1 but you would have to pay to use the sign. and the teleport signs would have to be able to be lwc locked
I was actually just contemplating this, maybe not for teleport/plus but for extcreations considering this would pretty much be a lift sign just horizontal. Either way, I really want this in ECC i think the fee function on the signs is good!
I thought of this a while ago, and was about to suggest it, but as much as I loved it I found some troubles (if you're thinking of this as a whole mainworld addition).... 1. It would make Town-Town Portals useless, as this little signs could be made easily without even spending 1k. 2. People could start setting them up as pseudo Spawn-Town Portals by placing them in the wild, just after a little walk from building world portal. 3. Some other I can't remember. If it was made like an in-town feature I think it would be great though, I didn't really thought of implementing them this way...
Maybe set an app for them, 30k each or so? I like the idea but doubt it'll be added since we already have so many plugins and we have ways to teleport in other ways... But still, +1
knowing andrew he wont add usesless plugins but i personally love this idea, I am always getting lost walking around my own town!
see i thought about this is well. but you take the risk when putting signs in the wild of anyone coming into your town. Plus, you can't LWC the signs in the wild simply because people in your town wouldn't be able to use it, unless you add each individual member to the LWC when you give them perms. So a Sign with no LWC in the wild, will get destroyed pretty much immediately.
I think when they set up an app like alltheway said you would have to have the certain areas you want the signs so you could place them there. I think 30k is a little pricy though maybe 10k than 1k a sign... I dont know. But I think this would be a great idea if the minor issues people pointed out were fixed. +1
1. I don't see why there would be a risk of someone getting into your town, if they don't have perms, they simply can't grief or cause any damage. It might actually be better because if they see it looks neat they might want to buy a plot there. An open space for advertisement, without any risk that might actually help a lot of builders. 2. LWC'd Lift signs can be used by ANYONE, why would these be unusable if they happen to be locked? They can be used, but not destroyed whatsoever. As I said, I think this would work as an in-town feature (which I believe is what you mean to suggest here), but if it would work only that way, Andrew/Wewin would have to process themselves each of these signs individually taking a look at lots of apps coming each day, which would take a lot of time considering the number of towns, and the number of plots/destinations of teleport inside each one. Also, I believe making people able to only place certain things on certain places is quite difficult. So the best thing should be that Andrew gave this a long thought. Also, correct me if I'm wrong please, I believe this is a feature mainly intended to be used by Server Admins only, and not by every or many users. The arrival sign system would work well this way, but with many people placing them (and/or trolling intentions) the destination names might get repeated and probably the whole thing screwed up. I didn't find any solution about repeated destination names in the page, which is what drove me to thinking this.
