you can write these off somehow, i forget how (dont do taxes yet xP) ask andrew about it if you are old enough to have to do taxes.
Most donations you can only write off if you itemize your deductions, which almost no one does unless they own a home, a business, or have a very high income. Typically most people will take the standard deduction. A donation is also not a sale, so there is no sales tax if that was the original question. Also there is no Paypal fee on our end when we donate, so a $30 donation will cost just $30 and nothing else. RagMan
