Minecraft Name: ScotttheGOD Suggestion: Changing the rule: You have to ask a mayor of a town to put your town within 15 blocks of other mayor towns. To 200 blocks each way from a town. Reason: I think it's annoying when you put a town down and like 2 weeks later you are surrounded by other peoples towns. I have been saving up for president to get my second very own town and connect it to my current town but I cant because I am surrounded in towns 15 or more blocks away. I don't see the point in the 15 blocks away rule , you cant put a town or swing a cat in-between the towns it's just wasted space for builders to camp on and make mud huts. Other Information: Please comment on this with your opinions on this. Thanks Link to this plugin: N/A
I disagree. Having a 200 block space in between towns would leave a ton of empty space that may only be used occasionally by builders that want a home before they can move into a town. I think that 15 blocks is more realistic. As more people join there will be more new towns popping up. Honestly I think that 15 blocks is fine, and if any increase is made it shouldn't be more than something like 30 blocks.
I kinda agree, but not 200 blocks. 200 is waaay too much and would remove tons of space for new mayors. Maybe something like 30, like Da_tirtow said.
how is 30 any different from 15? you still can't fit a town in if someone builds 30 away from you. if you're going to change the rule, make it 100-200 so that you can still fit a town in. However, I think the rules are fine as they are. If you want more than one town on good land, then save up your money and buy it all at once.
You can't adjust the rules to make it so you have space to build. Because if it was 200, then the town there would be 200 blocks of land you can't make a town in. 400 blocks if the person decides to build 400 blocks away from you. No matter what the difference in size is, you will never have enough space to build your town. Also, it's only difficult for wewin to increase the size, he would have to fly 200 blocks around the town to make sure there are no towns nearby.
Yeah, I really hate it when people start putting towns down and it makes me really annoyed. I usually tell to find somewhere to do it, or move further away, most people don't want to be on my bad side (not sure if that's a good or bad thing ). Unfortunately, I've thought of it as something that can't be avoided, and I try my best to get along with it. Unless there is some other way, it's just not that easy to figure out.
I personally feel this is an unavoidable fact of life here in ECC. The fact of the matter is everyone deserves an oppertunity, land is getting sparse, and the only way to get all the land you want is to buy it up quickly. Welcome to our Economic System. First come, first server. If you leave land next to your town and don't claim it, it could be taken. I too have had this issue before, but all I could do was rage a little and then get over it. Also, if we changed the rules then anyone who has been harmed by the original rule will rage, and demand town movements. Revanrose6
I feel the pain of land being taken beside your town (but not just for the fact of planning to enlarge your town). I think the 15 block rule used to be a much greater distance, but it didn't work out and/or make a difference. Small increases wouldn't do much, and large increases will just cause issues. 15 blocks is just enough for towns to be shown as separately owned and allow others to travel land without getting blockaded or causing too much...hideousness beside towns. And those saying that there isn't enough land -- there is /more/ than enough land on ECC; it's just not "appealing," which shouldn't stop people, as they usually demolish everything natural, anyway...
