Minecraft Name: fleetfooter Suggestion: Raise the price of seeds from $.10 to $.35 per seed. Reason: With light farming now made illegal, wheat farming isn't profitable already. Now using fortune 3 tools is also useless because seeds are down. I realize the price was lowered because andrew wants to take away the appeal from wheat farming because of lag, but for the people that have invested hours on hours of time into making their farms. I suggest that seeds are raised in price at least a bit because of this reason. If we take a simple scenario to what the maximum amount of money you could make before with wheat farming, which was around 15-16k. With light farming made illegal, that was cut down at least 5k because of the time it takes to harvest the seeds manually. Then with seeds lowered to $.10, that brings the amount of money you can make per hour down at LEAST another 3k. Take 8k from 16k and with the new prices, wheat farming is not worth it compared to other crops. Any Other Information: N/A Link To This Plugin: N/A
Fleet...it's everyone's guess that this is only temporary. If the seeds don't go up in a week or two, then I'll start filing suggestions. For the moment -1
(I didn't want to quote this because it gives andrew an alert) Andrew said in his post about wheat being nerfed: "Okay this has shifted from questions related to the red stone lamp farming processes to the standard whining about prices. ECC = Hardcore economy - things won't stay easy, learn to adjust." From what I get out of this statement, it sounds like "things won't stay easy" so prices aren't going back up. They are terribly low right now and two weeks of having an item low seems a bit drastic to me. I do realize everyone else's interpretation of the post was that it is temporary, but I don't believe so. If it is in fact temporary, then that's great, but otherwise I am just trying to make a simple compromise for either while prices are down. Possibly after they "get moved back up."
It is profitable. At least, a lot more profitable then farming dirt or making forum suggestions. You got president, you'll live.
Hang on a week or two for the prices to possibly not go back up? I'm saying that I beleive that the prices are going to stay this way unless a suggestion is made. I would like the price of seeds to go back up, not wheat. $1 per wheat is fine, it still makes less money, but I'll survive that. I am trying to get at the fact that seeds are half of wheat's profit, and that I would like to see them raised.
I personally am sad. Not because of the loss of auto wheat farmig but because I made my resident money with my little 50 by 30 underground farm I made underground in the build world. It's sad to see wheat farming get nerfed. At least the seeds will help a bit. +1
+1 from me, i farm a 2 layer 25x25 plot, when i farm it, just about every wheat is fully grown or very close, after farming all that I get about 1.1K!!! it takes at least 2.5-3 hours (this includes the time that im not there) to get all the crops that high that means that i can maximize my money by getting about 2.2K a day, some people get this much money in Survival Games in just 2-3 games.
He isn't suggesting wheat prices go up....we all know they went up. Wheat seeds are still at $.10. And yes, a slight bump in the price would be nice, maybe not to $.30, but at least a small bump.
the prices are still at the same price seeds: $0.10 wheat: $1.25 I highly dought that the price will ever go up to 35 cents, maybe $0.25 or at least $0.20
"the prices are still at the same price" Orly, wheat is still 1 dollar? That's not what your post says a line of type latter. It's also not what /worth says either. I said "wheat" not "seeds".
Sence the day that this thread has been posted wheat prices haven't gone up a penny and yes 1 wheat is worth $1.25 and i added seed prices for other viewers, not just you.
If you are just going to troll the thread then please stop posting. I made the suggestion for the price of seeds, not wheat. If you have an actual opinion, then go ahead and post it, but otherwise please stop.
