dork1877 Suggestion: Give sports betting it's own ingame channel Reason: it needs its own channel because it clogs up regular chat, its also a totally separate activity. Like trivia.
It's really not like trivia. Trivia spams chat with repeated similar messages as people try to guess an answer. Sportsbook doesn't. There's no need to take content out of global and move it somewhere else just because it's a certain topic. -1
https://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/146407 https://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/145565 There are so many different discussions that happen in global chat - we might as well add ten new chats, all dedicated to different topics one could possibly discuss. Sports discussion is a part of general chat and - at least in my opinion - there is no need to separate it from the global chat.
I more or less agree with 314. Sports and sportsbook are part of ECC gameplay and imo something that should be fully welcome as a topic in global. Trivia has its own chat because by nature Trivia can be spammy in the form of users trying to post/guess the correct answer. Therefore a separate chat so users can choose to leave it and not see the possible spammy nature of it. I don't really feel we need to be advocating a bunch of channels for certain topics and splitting up what should be our general chat(global). I don't always care for sports myself, but I do see that its quite entertaining to watch when big games are on.
I agree that sports chat, in general, should remain in global however bets being taken and odds offered in global is a different matter. Such posts surely belong in trade channel, moved to pm or taken to local chat.
this is exactly what I am talking about the constant barrage of odds and teams gets really spammy in general chat but i appreciate the opinions of the other posters as well
But then shouldn't those things go into trade, local and PM as Imabank said, rather than an entirely new channel for sports? It seems to me that the solution to the problem is better enforcement of chat rules, not creating an entirely new channel.
I was on at the time so knew this is what you meant and I myself had wondered why no staff had said anything (was plenty around during it). I guess if it bothers you enough you could bring it to the attention of a staff member and or file a complaint.
Yeah agree. Im tired of people talking about it. No one cares and it's just kinda annoying for everyone else
LOL what? So if someone talks about cars lets just add a car channel. Honestly I think your better off just nit picking the staff than making suggestions. lmao
