Suggestion - warps

I don't think this is possible with essentials at the moment, so it'd have to be a custom addition yes.
-1 from me, it just seems like this would be a bit overpowered and current warp owners would be getting the short end of the stick.

 

So basically spend 20USD at ~6k per USD, so 120k, for 3-5 warps worth 75k each accumulating to 225k-375k? That... seems to make server warps useless as they are just expensive compared to that. :/

Exactly my reasoning

 

I think a better and more practical idea would be to make a town feature app for adding a new warp to your town, at the cost of 75k

 

maybe a warp credit, not permission to /setwarp.

Maybe if it was made like $50 or $100 permission to use /setwarp could be given.
However even being so expensive it could be abused so easily... :/

 

I don't like the idea of allowing players to pay real money directly for something that the server charges ECD for.

I can tell you personally that this won't happen. I do believe this falls well under the category of "administration command which makes no sense to sell".

 

-1 for many reasons.

a) hard to track who types in /setwarp CrazySwagMaster1Sucks (or other, much, much more butthead warp names)
b) it'd take less money out of economy then making them apply with ecd
c) it would replace /back or add an extra home... There are already too many ways to get around.
d) the list of warps is already massive. adding user's custom ones to the list of town warps would be.... not fun.

 

Because this would be a location warp, not a town warp.

 

I mean the thought is in the right place, but with everyone being able to /warp to existing warp locations for free and the fact that you can buy multihome cheaper than $120k ecd... what's the point of this? I mean for less than $120k ecd, you can have a warp set at a location of your choice in your town. The people without a town can just purchase (or have someone else purchase multihome for them) cheaper than $120k ecd.

I'm sorry, I fail to see the benefit in this suggestion as players can already do things similar to this... if not in a better way... at a cheaper cost.

A warp is accessible to everyone, while a home only to yourself and a tpcoord only to teleportplus2. So, if I want a specific area of my town to be accessible to everyone, I can't.
That being said, I think that the ability to place warp yourself would be overpowered. Also, warp should not be as flexible as homes (e.g. ability to set, delete, change a home with no effort) because other players will use them too and therefore moving a warp should cost money. So the ideal solution would be the ability to apply for additional town warps paying in ecd, just like town warps.

 

Just simply apply for a warp via the Town Features Application. There's no real need for this.

Uhm, what if I need more than one warp in my town? That was the whole point of the suggestion
