This way we could have people who actually got helped by these people or believe they would be a good moderator get to help decide on who becomes a mod. Maybe we could narrow it down to like 4 people to vote then have andrew decide between the two Reason: To have a more fair chance for people to become mods in ecc Any Other Information:none
The current system is fine, mods hold discussions from a shortlist of applicants talking about the pros and cons of choosing certain people for applicants. There is in no way bias, which is unachievable from asking regular users to vote.
