[Suggestion] User Created SG Map's

+1, it would be cool to toss in more variety to SG.

I have been wanting like another small town theme and here it can be made! I might even try and make one!

 

I love it! As a active sg'er, it would be really fun to play on a map that you knew was made from someone on our very own ECC. +1

Don't you dare touch my baby sg 4 Harryhaz1 haha, tbh I would like to keep any maps that involve the old spawns I like refreshing my memory of what the spawns used to look like so I would like those and sg 4 to stay. However all other maps I dislike because they are 1 way to big, and 2 have next to no chests. I would like to see smaller maps, 300x300 ish would be very optimal.

 

I for one would love to have more building competitions. It really brings the community together and creates some friendly competition as well. Not to mention, it allows our server to really shine with all unique, player-made maps/designs.

 

I completely agree. Everyone saw all the things that happened Blowtube so i don't think copying will be a problem again. Like Harry said, Why not! There doesn't even need to be a cash prize, just the forum medal would be enough for me to want to participate.

 

I'd love for the ability to gain a forum medal from hard work and creativity. Build competition medals could be set up as such:

1st - Gold Event Medal
2nd - Silver Event Medal
3rd - Bronze Event Medal
4th - Blue Event Medal
5th - Green Event Medal

There could also be medals for placing in the top 5 positions so many times, or levels per medal. Say you win 1st place 5 times. You could get a gold medal with a 2 in the middle of it. Place 1st 10 times. Get a gold medal with a 3 in the middle of it.

Those are just a few ideas that came to mind. If Andrew wouldn't want to do one of these every month or so, he could have the staff run it. All they would have to do is vote on the submissions, and the one with the most staff favoring it wins.

 

I doubt they'd pull 4 out. All that would have to be done would be to pick the least played map, and have that one be the monthly arena. Maybe they could even theme the arena's each month to keep players from creating ones ahead of time.

 

I think most likely, they would pull Arena 1 and Arena 8 or 7. The rest are always played.
