it's called having lots of money and being a nub, plus you have to apply for the medals so if you don't want it don't get it
The concept is very stupid, but can also be used as a funny way to see how much money you have won / lost and would encourage more people to go on stocks / sports book
But you can also make money from this, but remember you will have to apply for the medal so you don't have to have it if you don't want it

@Connor_Smith Remember that medals are completely your choice and you can not have them if you don't want them. As @DarknessDimitri said, I think this would be funny and somewhat cool. (Don't think I want this because I'm bad at investing and I want a medal, since so far my portfolio is one of the most profitable)
