Minecraft Name: Obblebobble Suggestion: To introduce a timezone (or even a forum feature) that is universal for all players on ECC when trading/discussing meet-up times, due dates and so forth. Reason: For example, if a loan is due "Tonight" that may be in a few hours for one player, and 12 hours for another. Trading with many users often results in many different timezones and figuring out what time it equates to in your own time-zone. So if we set a universal ECC time clock (The most common timezone for all users online, I'd assume PST or CST, etc), then when trading we can say "4pm monday ECC". If this is commonly used, it will be quite easy to calculate what time this is in your own timezone. This way, there will be less confusion when organizing dates, and both users understand what time it is. Any Other Information: The only issue is that players must actually figure out the conversion from ECC time to Local time. It would be great to add an ECC Time Clock in game and on the forums for easier use. Link To This Plugin: N/A
Cool idea, but i can't see a moment where people will agree. But GMT is like default. If it aint a pain to implement, +1
I really like this idea, I feel as if it would clear up a lot of time based loans. ECCST (ECC standard time? )
AFAIK most timed agreements are already handled with EST (At least in the BA/C section), I believe. But an ingame command would be nice.
It should be EST because Murica. That's usually what most people use, but yeah this seems like a good idea +1
Eastern U.S. Time is generally used from my experience, however, the "forum clock" and voting runs off of GMT +0. So, if an agreement between these two can be made, +1 from me.
The timezone can be negotiated, EST could work fine. It just provides a universal time for all players (I've had many trades where there's just been a "Friday" due date involved, which could vary by 24 hours). I'm glad you all like the idea! ECCST works, the same as EST just changed for the server. I'd assume creating a plugin to do this would be relatively easy and same with a forum module.
Perhaps we should have a "Notice" (XenForo forum feature ) on the Contracts section to display which timezone/ time or whatever the server runs off of so that players creating contracts know when a trade/transaction has to take place.
