What I mean by closed is something you can't respond to without creating a discussion. So the only things exempt would be avatars and signatures. Political profile posts, forum posts would be banned still. I don't see any issue because the person responding to the avatar/sig would be breaking the rules.
I agree, but people will be all like "that offends me" or "that's against my opinion" or some other lame excuse like that If people can't accept a political statement, how are they going to survive in the real world without going to the cops every time someone has a different opinion. Because if you notice, that's essentially all people do with politics on ecc. They get the mods because it "offends them". Give me a break, people aren't that pathetic. Unless they are, in which case you have my pity. +1
I don't understand people's desire to express political opinions on here - It's a minecraft server. There are plenty of opportunities in the real world to express your opinion/have a discussion etc, so why bring it to a family friendly minecraft server? Additionally, it is generally the discussion part of politics which people enjoy, persuading someone of your opinion etc, and this suggestion doesn't achieve that at all. And shane, comparing this suggestion to the real world is also flawed as there aren't many times where someone would be able to say something but the person on the receiving end would be prevented from replying. I'm also very confused about your definition of 'closed'. You have already accepted the fact that people can/potentially will reply to them. Anyway, -1 from me. Not because I would be offended by your posts, but because I don't believe that there is any need whatsoever for a minecraft server to be filled with political messages.
