Suggestion #1 Minecraft Name: JBuks Suggestion: I think there should be 2 diamonds put in each sg round. There would be 1 in a chest each on the other side of the map. Reason: I think it would be interesting. The odds of ending up with both of the diamonds would be small, and then making it back to be able to craft them would be hard. Any Other Information: Nope. Link To This Plugin: Not sure if this would even be possible, but if it was I think it could just be an add on to the current SG code. Suggestion #2 Minecraft Name: JBuks Suggestion: To add coal and furnaces to the SG maps. Reason: I think it would be interesting to be able to cook your own food in SG. It would draw more people to where furnaces, creating more kills and making SG rounds shorter. Any Other Information: Nope Link To This Plugin: Not a plugin.
I like the idea of adding 2 diamonds in separate chests as it would give users more of an incentive to look in chests. Now when it comes to adding in furnaces and coal. From a player standpoint being able to use these to cook the raw food from chests would be a game changer. So as long as adding the furnaces to all, some, or even one map is both possible and simple enough to code I would love to see this.
Although I like the idea, 1 diamond sword has more power than any kit sword and is pretty overkill. As for the second, people can use sticks and saplings dropped from breaking leaves
Actually, no, the diamond sword isn't advantageous to the kit swords exactly...kit Make It Quick's Sharpness II Knockback I stone sword is the equivalent of a diamond sword with Sharpness I and Knockback I. Each level of sharpness on a sword is roughly two tiers of swords. A wooden sword does 2.5 hearts of damage, (this is all assuming no armor.) A stone sword does 3, An iron sword does 3.5, A diamond sword does 4. (Each number was half a heart lower prior to the 1.6 update. The swords now give extra damage equal to their old values that add to the "punching".) Each level of sharpness, however, does not equal one tier of a weapon. Sharpness I gives .5, 1, or 1.5 extra hearts of damage per hit, regardless of the tier of weapon it is applied to. It's a 33.3% chance that it picks each of these possible values. This means that: Wooden swords would do 3, 3.5, or 4 hearts of damage each hit. Stone would do 3.5, 4, or 4.5 ...etc.. This means that, on average, a stone sword with sharpness I is as powerful as a diamond sword. Sharpness II works much the same. I should go into a bit of detail, though: Let's use a stone sword as an example. With two levels of Sharpness on it, it has .5, 1 or 1.5 extra hearts of enchantment damage applied twice, alongside the base damage. This means a stone sword could do 4, 4.5, 5, 5,5, and 6. Compared to a diamond swords flat 4, the stone sword is equal to the diamond sword with only 20% of the hits it makes, otherwise it's universally better, and this isn't even counting MIQ's Knockback and the Power III bow included, or the fact that MIQ is free to use at any point in the game, whereas the diamonds must be collected. It should be mentioned that it obviously isn't completely equal to the power of a diamond sword with Sharpness I and Knockback I. Realistically, a diamond sword with these enchants could do 4.5, 5, or 5.5 hearts of damage. Sharpness is a weird thing, it's really a bit of a luck game. The stone one could do more, or it could do less, but in the end, both average out to the same value. Given the health glitch in ECC's SG and the power of the kits compared to the armor of players, I can hardly ever see this making a difference of even one hit. A diamond sword is only half a heart more powerful than iron and would require far more effort. I wouldn't be against it, but I do understand if it's impossible. Also, you can use wooden swords to cook food as well. They make a great source of fuel if you stockpiled a bunch.
