Minecraft Name: TheAngelEclipse Suggestion: Add another chat channel for trivia. /ch t, or maybe /ch q for quiz or something else, so it's not so easily confused with /ch tr. Reason: I think having a trivia chat channel is a good idea because global chat wouldn't be "spammed" with answers to those who like to hold trivia's for cash rewards. I believe sometimes, telling users to simply pm the answers does not always work because you can't see who answered what, and in what order. How do you know the person holding the trivia didn't just pick their friend who answered correctly, over the builder who answered correctly first? With a trivia chat channel, trivia's will be held more often and possibly with bigger prizes because you can see all of the people who answered what, in what order without spamming global chat or the users chat with pm's. Other Information: N/A Link to this plugin: I'm not sure what plugin is used for this, but I believe you would just use the same plugin used for the other chat channels to add a new one?
-1 The main reason I don't like this suggestion is that it will cause a mass amount of spam. The reason people have to use pm is because doing it in global will spam the global chat. The only possible way for this to work is to allow people to leave the new channel, but only donators can leave channels. that leaves the entire non-donator community getting spammed with useless trivias they don't want to participate in. If you want to be able to know who got the correct answer first, go to the users town and host the trivia there and use /ch l . Thats what we used to do in back in the old days when trivia was a little more popular.
Actually, non-donors can still leave channels with the exceptions of Trade and Local. I assume they'd be able to leave this as well.
Yeah, it would be like those channels. I am a donor now, so I can't remember which channels I could leave as a non-donor but they would be able to leave this channel. Some people like to be able to keep doing whatever they are doing while participating in the trivia though, say you are melon farming for example, and want to participate but also want to keep farming. Having a channel for this would be more useful for many users and I saw someone talking about it in VIP chat earlier today, saying if this would happen they might even start holding trivias with 10k rewards. (Can't remember which user this was though.) But it would help distribute money throughout the economy and even possibly help those knowledgeable builders start out and have more fun too, along with every other rank. Having a trivia channel would be much more convenient then having to stop what you are doing to go to a local chat for it.
