Suggestion: I think this server should install a Trading Plugin.

Reason: People get scammed everyday (Including Myself). A trading system would allow people to see what they buy before they buy it. For example if somebody wants a pumpkin axe but get a regular axe instead. If they got to see if it was a regular axe, they would then decline the trade. Or when people drop the item and somebody rushes by to grab it. That problem would be solved as well.
The plugins below are just to get ideas, so you don't need to use the exact ones.

Being scammed everyday on E.C.C is easily avoidable, just be very cautious when trading. We have a great system setup for you to stay safe when trading. Throughout my entire two years on Ecocitycraft, never once have I been scammed. I'm going to leave a few links below that will assist you in completing safe transactions. Adding a plugin is just a waste, just be cautious and you'll be fine.

Well... You are a Staff member Jets... But nevertheless what he said is true, if you take the time to do background checks for large deals, be wary of newer players, and avoid deals that are too good to be true, you'll be fine.

I haven't been a Staff member forever, keep that in mind.

I also have known non-staff members that have been on the server for 1 year+ without getting scammed.

Of course, I realize that, though there's no denying that players are less likely to scam staff than a regular member :p

    You'd be surprised...

I often get users obviously attempting to scam me, and I just avoid it as any other regular user.

All I'm saying is that if you want people to do something you have to make it as easy and seamless as possible.
I'm not advocating use of this plugin, I'm just advocating for more trade related security for the less than savvy users to prevent them from getting scammed by the all too savvy.

You don't have to be savvy to read a thread, just don't be lazy.

If you wish to be lazy, simply don't complain about being scammed.

Firstly we have trade signs. Accessible by all of those ranked Resident+. For enchanted goods and other items that cannot be traded via trade signs, taking appropriate measures will ensure you do not get scammed; such as checking their history, using your common sense etc. When doing trades take screenshots.

I have had many try to scam me and can normally tell when someone has an intent to scam. There is no need for a trade plugin as all it will add is more bugs and more work. -1

That is one point of view. I like to see a more active approach... but then again I am not privy to the problems that arise from implementation of the "protect the lazy" route.
It might be lazy or it might be the lack of knowledge of how to help ones self

I must also add that none of the plugins you listed support the essentials money "system". Item to item trades are less common with people purchasing goods and selling goods for money.

rockboy2000 I didn't say to use them but to get ideas from them. Eco says to be proud of the development team and will be willing to work with other authors of plugins. So a trade plugin with the features such as your "essentials money "system"" is a possibility . You just need faith in the team.
