Thread Title: Call upon a tool with a simple command Minecraft Name: Assajj_Ventress Suggestion: This one goes out to all you hardcore miners and farmers now before you deny this without fully reading or understanding were I'm going with this hear me out and mods here's a chance to throw more money into the server costs to keep it up and running so listen up. My idea is simple adding a command that holds all of your tools in it up to a limit set by the staff and the next feature would allow you to hold more I know what you're thinking hey isn't this like the enderchest or/ eec yes and no. This feature would allow you to type /toolbelt and BUY A TOOL for a certain amount of time. Reason: Say you can't afford those big fancy star tools well for a limited time of 1or 2 days A user pays a price of say 150k and or a set amount of nstars and for a day or 2 they can use a certain tool and have it saved in this toolbelt also with toolbelt+ you can rent out a tool to another user with toolbelt [if you own the tool] without them being able to steal it if they drop it it would go back in your toolbelt if they try to sell it or put it in auction or a chest it goes back in your toolbelt making scamming literally impossible Other Information: toolbelt could be put into ecc either way As an anti scam tool or as a tool rental system from the server up to you
Better explanation Command- /toolbelt Fubctions- /toolbelt rent [tool] - /toolbelt lend [tool] [name] [how much you want them to give you] [timeframe] /toolbelt buy [tool] [enchantment] [enchantment] (you get the idea)
Then whatever you buy costs money or nstars based off the current market and or nstars and exp and or just exp
I cant think of any reason not too, for now +1, I will see what other people say in regards to counter reasons.
I like the idea Assajj but I am afraid that if this is implemented and users could pay to rent star tools from the server it would destroy the current economy for renting star tools.
That a why there's 2 ways to go with this I also suggested an anti scam feature for lending that's why my post says to read it all lol
I read it all, I just didn't think that, that portion of the suggestion was feasible. But I like where you are going with the idea.
The idea to store own tools up to a certain limit... +1. The ability to rent from the server... -3.14. Would ruin the rental market for tools. The ability to rent to others via this feature and make the tool unscammable... It is basically impossible to do that. What if I broke it?
Don't lend it to someone without extcommands? And link a fee into the tool if it breaks putting you into a negative balance
Okay. So I lend a gold pick to somebody that breaks extremely fast. Then when they break it, I charge them with a fee of 1,000,000$ because it is a new builder I requested to do that. Then they break the tool, 1mil gets taken from their balance and put into mine. Then they quit ECC. This is why ECC will probably never allow anything to cause negative balances.
Yay, so basically extcomm++ for users the tools are rented to... might be unfair to those who bought it. :|
Please do not add things onto my idea to make it seem like a bad idea I never said that the tools needed to be auto repaired nor did I say you got to choose the price on a tool if It breaks, and I never said you HAVE to charge them if it breaks it was simply an idea.
It's the same way right now and people lend things out this just ensures they don't get taken getting broken is always a risk of something being lent
And it's not impossible what about /own? I could just take your tool and break it what would you do there? Same predicament and yet we have iT this is why your point to me seems unjustified
Logged. Everything with own is logged. There's a few issues with the suggestion, but it's not a bad idea. Overall, it could be a nice donation feature or something like that
-1 It may be my misunderstanding or misreading of the suggestion. I understand the desire to want to rent star tools. I'm on the fence on that. I don't see how the plug-in would stop scamming. In fact, in my humble opinion, it seems like it would cause more complaints/issues/disagreements. A couple have been already brought up. I would more inclined to upvote a pure suggestion for some way to rent star tools from the server, if done right (meaning super expensive), than a backpack for tools that add a lot of variables/restrictions on how the tools can be used/rented/sold/repaired/etc. The idea is creative. I'm just not sure how it would be implemented without nerfing it to the point of being unusable.
