Minecraft Name: oYsTeR140 Suggestion: Create a 3 minute timer each time a user posts something in trade chat (same mechanics as teleporting and having to wait to teleport again). I am sure there are some factors involved that might not make this possible, but I thought it would be a decent suggestion.
Well I think it could be a good idea but it would be hard monitoring the 2 unique posts as you could post one message twice. Otherwise awesome idea, it gets really annoying when you have a powertool, click it once and it lags and posts 2-4 times. Basis of a great idea but might need a lot of programming . +1
You don't become a mod because you like to yell at people. They're already very busy so this would free up time for them. +1
That's a factor I was thinking about as well. I think the user could just post one unique ad every 3 minutes instead of two. They could just put the second unique ad when the timer permits them to repost. I honestly see no harm in that.
Why not improve things. Give them more time for other work. Faster handling of forum stuff/more able to help users.

I think 3 minutes is actually quite long. if you think of how much chat actually has over 3 minutes. Trying to compete with all the other chat going on. (Yes i know you can leave chats but i doubt many do) I think its easier to have no limit and have it like it currently is where mods keep an eye on people doing it too much or too quickly. Cause most of the time ive been on its been fine.
I can see what you mean, but global chat isn't a specified channel like trade chat is. It is there only for trade related subjects and the fact that Section 4 Clause 4 is very specific about advertising every 3 minutes, having a timer will eliminate the need for a user to have to sit there and literally count down for 3 minutes. I find that rather ridiculous. As for taking away the staff's job, they will still have to watch for users spamming characters or typing any inappropriate things in trade channel.
