Minecraft Name: Steveshizzle Suggestion: Add a new mini game, The Syndicate Games, to ECC Reason: This is primarily a discussion, rather than a suggestion, so as to weigh the pros and cons of adding a new mini game to ECC. Adding Syndicate Games would bring more people to the server as well as allow current players to expand their skills and have more fun. Other Information: For those who don't know, Syndicate Games is similar to SG in that players find chests and fight each other. The only difference is that it is a 1v1 match and arenas are much much smaller. The game was first thought of by Tom from The Syndicate Project (#1 UK YouTube gamer) and his team first started putting it together in 2012, it now runs flawlessly on a separate server owned by Tom. Here is a gameplay video he posted (I don't think he mentions any servers but I apologize in advance if he does): There are other videos on YouTube that have these but I can't post them because I don't want to get banned for advertising. Link to this plugin: I'm sure there's something out there but I wouldn't even know where to start looking. Just as a reminder, I mostly just want people to look into this and discuss whether or not this would be a feasible addition to ECC.
This would be very fun, but i think it would be too small. You would have to have so many games running at the same time to satisfy the users.
So from what I can infer, there are a number of pros and cons Pros: More players will join, Current players will have more to do, we can possibly make a lobby connected to one of the "future plans" portals, and there can be a $500 or so reward for every win which players would like. Cons: Lag, what Miner said, more lag, loads of bugs to deal with early on, and lag. I'm sure there's more, let me know what everyone else has to say!
Pros: More for people to do. Might bring in more users. Fun. Cons: Might lose Sg players (Maybe, I don't know) Kind of similar to SG. I think if we are going to add more mini-games they should be a bit different. Maybe spleef. Just the time it will take the devs to add it.
If this is a 1v1 game similar to SG then I am going to personally be against it simply because it would be very easy to abuse it as a way to make fast, easy money.
