the main question is what would we invest in? like maybe mineral prices, like buy a share of diamond for 20? or maybe like investing in towns?
could in towns i have a town all i need is money for pvp and other stuff i know how this works my dad foes it all the time yuo have to see how it would go with the funds
I would love this plugin since I do invest in stocks in real life, but how could this affect newer players? Could it make it more complicated for them? I also believe we should base the stocks off Killerkongpro's idea of server prices.
that is also an interesting plugin, not entirely sure but it think jpwns one was in real life item stocks
stocks have worth and town have low or high worth i will take walstreet in this let's say it has a worth of million and you place money if lke put more room in walstreet and adds more on it you rose the worth of the town and lke will give you more money then you gave him however he loss money you would get less it is good way to make money and loss of money
If possible I think it would be good to invest in stocks/shares in which their price is uniform across the server and it changes depending on the amount of its respective item is currently in the game. Since the map is limited size that means every item is in a limited quantity thus making everything scarce (minus the items in which donators can get through their commands) so if it was possible to connect the number of items to a given amount of shares then the market value of that stock would rise and fall depending on the actions of every single player. Seeing as I have absolutely no idea on how plugins work this entire spiel may be for naught but hey, what else is the night before an exam for eh. eg. 10 000 shares for Diamond @ $100 each at 5000 diamonds available in the server ^ if 1000 diamonds are used then the price increases to ~$120 per share (4000 diamonds available)
Well I looked at all the links: - I liked the first one whitesox had - jpnws was for in real life - dgam yours was too simple and you couldn't really do anything with it. Ill search for another.
Not only is stocks really confusing for new players, it just wont really work on the server. I have only looked at ryan's latest link but that shows that andrewkm would have to change price randomly which means it doesn't even work like real life and is completely chance. Proper stock market is too complex for minecraft and the plugins created don't work like real life, so it isn't really a stock market.
+1 Being a real life stock investor (at age 16 btw) I would LOVE to see any kind of stocks entered into the game I know ryanblocks2 has already incorporated this into his store, but the prices would definitely have to be based on something and not just Andrew changing them
How did I not think of this if ecc added this I would spend 24 hours on the server a day aside from my 23 hours now.
KHobbits maybe your the wrong person to ask, but as a developer i think it falls to you how hard would it be to have a system of stocks in ecc? seeing as depending how it works around 86% would use them
