Thread Title: Starter book to /kit starter Minecraft Name: dAtsheepd0e Suggestion: I think we should add a written beginners book to /kit starter Reason: Lots of builders are confused when they first join and always wonder how to get plots and where they can and cant build. If we add a beginners book it can include: List of available commands, How to make money, How to join a town, What /ch trade /ch global and other channels are, How to vote, and a quick list of rules. Yes, I do realize that mods help out, but this will give a longer and clearer explanation because mods can only type so much in chat. Also, I do know that we can tell them to go to the forums, but they usually don't do that. Other Information: I will be glad to help in the making of the book and I can make an example in game if needed. Link to this plugin: Not a plugin.
I like the idea, but worry that this is too much information to try and put into a minecraft book. We already have a tutorial which explains everything which you have described. Perhaps the kit could include a book which welcomes you to ECC and directs you towards the tutorial?
I had this idea before -- The easiest way to get this to work is to write out a draft and make a book. Andrew has stated that if someone makes a decent book, that such a thing could easily be added.
I would say you should get it by doing a kit like '/kit help', because I frequently use /kit starter and wouldn't like to have a crap ton of starter books.
Maybe andrew should do a contest? The person who writes the best Help book will get maybe a 100k + his name featured in the book?
