So a friend lost his spawnshop this week because he miscalculated when it needed renewed, and then he rage quit. He does that, though. He'll be back eventually. But is there a programming solution to having to check the expiration thread? Could the little signs that mark each of our shops be programmed to display the expiration date of the shop? Or some other such fine-tuning dev-type solution, displaying a shop's expiration where the owner could see it while working the shop? @JamieSinn
Yes they do, but not everyone has that benefit. I also find the spawnshop thread a hassle to read through. I've lost a spawnshop because of this as well. I believe there should be a reminder. +1
not everyone owns an alarm clock? if your playing minecraft online and dont have an alarm clock of some type.. priorities?
As he stated in his suggestion, his friend miscalculated. Sure he has an alarm clock, but he set it for the wrong time. Anyway, I don't think a program should be written but I do think you should get like a 2 day forum inbox warning or something.
You can't set an alarm clock to run on a month. XD You can set a phone reminder, not everyone has a phone. Maybe they like people to people conversations... priorities?
Ctrl+F and search your shop number. As for the actual suggestion, I'm on the fence... This could be useful to some, but there are plenty of easy ways to remind yourself to renew your shop. Also, if this was implemented, spawn shop sniping would rarely happen because players would be so much more likely to actually renew their shops. Plus, I'm no dev, but this looks hard to code. I'd be cool if this could be done, but for now, +0
I like the idea in theory however I don't think developing this would be an effective use of resources at this time. Maybe if/when we do a major market update.
