I think you misphrased you correction of the misphrase. It only mentions the loss of [VIP] not any other donor tag.
Why just VIP? Shouldn't it be any tag donor tag or no tags? I purposely got my tag a certain length so I could keep both tags and this wouldn't be exactly fair so I propose that Custom Tags allow amt. Of characters 1-7 like before and if you want 8-10 then You either have to use /ctag to remove the custom tag OR do /stag and hide the donation tag manually and this could be considered like nickname where if the user is not listening to the moderator or obeying said above ^ then it can result in warnings and after a few the removal of the feature.
