[Suggestion] SG World Cup

+1 (I do own kits, just for the record), no kits makes it different from regular sg.....which is nice :b.

If kits are removed then I might actually give this thing a go.

Otherwise I pretty much have no chance to win...

 

-1 many users buy kits for events like this. Taking kits away would be less income for the server.

 

People buy kits to win SG all the time. Why not have them disabled during the SG World Cup? It's only for a day or two.

I own CC++ (soon) and I completely agree with this!
I think, like in the World Cup, the winner should be decided on skill, not having kits

 

I completely agree, even though I earned hard for CC++ and BFR+, I feel as it is overpowered for other players to win, and it will only last a day or two.

 

Honestly, I think it would be a great experience to see who is the best no-frills player on the server. Everyone knows who the best kitters are; playing with no kits would be a different story.

EDIT: After thinking about this a bit, I can probably take a decent shot about who is going to be in the top 10 with kits. Why not try to see the top 10 no kitters? This is something ECC does not know. And, what not a better time to host a no kit competition then around the World Cup.

 

I think this is a great idea, why not test the skills of people instead of relying on kits? I probably would never participate if there was a possbility I would be slaughtered in 1-2 hits and those people would win 1 million ECD and 100 dollar coupons for donating 25 dollars!!

As someone who avidly plays sg, I would love to have the sg bowl "kit-less" but there are several drawbacks to not allowing kits. For one, most people buy kits with the one reason: to win games. If kits are taken away from a huge competition such as this, what message are we sending to people? That we allow you to use kits everyday, but when the opportunity to make a boatload of cash comes along we're going to take away the advantage you paid for?
It may just be me, but that is not the message you want to send your supporters. Like it or not, sg kits benefit the server financially in a huge way. I understand it may not be fair, but that's the advantage that kit users paid for. Plain and simple.
I know Revan, Andrew, and KH will come up with a way to make the experience fun and still fair to most. So I will just wait and see what they come up with.

People buy kits to make money, events can easily be an exception. BECAUSE IT's AN EVENT.

When you have a tournament you don't get to buy your advantages, in a tournament/competition everyone gets a fair chance at winning. KITS ARE UNFAIR, AND THEREFORE DETRIMENTAL TO THE COMPETITION.

It's really simple, if the games aren't fair, then why would anyone without buffer participate? They have no chance of winning, so there's no point in trying.

Supporters or not, making money a factor when having a competition in PvP is bad. Really bad. You know what looks bad? pay2win.

 

SG is fun. Just because somebody HAS the kit buffer doesn't mean you can't kill them. They are only invincible if they have buffer on.
