IGN: dumdum71 Suggestion: The SG voting system should be changed. I have a few ideas to help fix it. These could be combined in someway. 1. Make it more known to new players how to vote in sg (/sg vote). Right now, the only way to know to vote is by being told by other players when you join SG. (And the sign outside the Sgs that I doubt many new players read.) I think that when you join SG there should be some sort of auto reminder that reminds the player to vote every couple minutes or so. This reminder could be turned off by donators possibly. 2. Lower the starting amount of people. Games don't reach 16 player unless it is during peak hours. I suggest it is lowered to 5 people because it wouldn't be too low or too high. Also, when a game is starting, this is when the most people will join. 3. I am not sure about how the SG voting system works but I know that majority doesn't rule. If 4 people are in an SG and 3 have voted it won't start. I think that it should be changed so that if 50% or more have voted the game will start. Reason: People that play SG frequently know that a game not starting due to a player or two not voting is an issue (correct me if I'm wrong). Sometimes a game will have about 8 people that 1 or 2 people don't vote so everyone leaves. I think that several other players would agree that something needs to be done about the voting system. Additional Information: I don't think that this would take too much time to change because it is just changing numbers and percentages. However, I could be wrong and if it does take too much time, don't make a big deal of it.
Yes, it think if something like this could be implemented into SG. It really annoys me when i have to wait 10 minutes just for the game to start sometimes. +1
If there are 2 people in a game and they both vote the game starts, if there are 3+ people in a game and at least 3 people vote the game starts. This is what it is from my experience. But automatic start would be good and a +1 from me.
Many times I don't vote on purpose to get a large game. If this does happen it needs to happen only once right when you join nt multiple times.
In my experience, the lower maps (1-5) usually get pretty big anyways. A lot of times though, they don't get big until after the game's started. I can see what you mean though. Sorry, if what happens? I had three suggestions in one.
I don't support 5 people to join to start. I think that is way too low. I suggest 10. 5 people would make games even smaller, as they would start before more players could join.
Alright, 10 seems like it would be good also. I mainly said 5 because I play on off-peak hours often so 5 would be good for times like that. Also, the starting at 16 wouldn't need to be lowered if it started by if the majority voted.
No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never vote. I only play games with a lot of people. I like to wait a long time so my kits can reload. -1
I understand what you mean. However, I still think something need to be done. The 16 player start is only effective on maps 2-4 because they are the most active maps. I have thought of another idea. Give me some feedback on it. When you enter an SG you can do "/sg vote start" to vote to start a game and "/sg vote wait" to wait for a game to start. You can change your vote at anytime as long as the game isn't starting. Anyone who doesn't vote is not counted.
Everything you've mentioned seems reasonable, but I'm going to dive into this part here. It would probably be better just to have an auto-reminder when you enter an arena that would say, "You are now in SG arena 48. Do /sg vote to start the game..." or something along those lines. It shouldn't be that difficult to add, as there are already reminders that tell you when you enter legacy/rising, and I'm sure there are others but I don't feel like doing research right now. Besides this, it seems like a great idea.
No. I like having time for my kits to regenerate, and i also like to have time to ask for teams and go over things (such as split at end, split money at end, etc) -1
Alright. I see what you mean. However, if you go into an SG and everyone else votes except you and it doesn't start, I don't think that's fair. Voting is kind of pointless if one person gets to control when the game starts. You have reasons that you want to wait but I don't think that means everyone else should wait also. We should at least make it majority rules so that the one person who doesn't vote isn't controlling everything.
Im pretty sure its not a 1:0 vote... I may be wrong though. Anyways, if i see many people wanting to start the game, i do /sg vote. I am very considerate of other players.
