So heres How it would work: Step 1: Replace SG 1 with a new map specifically for the tournament, this will give every one a level playing field (may or may not keep it after the tournament is over) Step 2: Have signups for a total of 4 games (96 People Max) or 8 games (192 People Max) depending on how much sign up) Step 3: 12 players will move on from each round, for the last round, prizes will be handed to the top 10 players. Reason:I think it would be great at promoting sg and getting more activity within it. Any Other Information: Kits will not be allowed for the rounds. It is highly unfair for a competition of skill to be based mainly off of money spent IRL, some people cant afford it and everyone should be given a level playing field. Anyone who doesn't have an sg kit won't have a chance, so this will probably have to be donor only. I'd really like to participate if I could but not if kits are allowed.
I think that it should be the 6 from each round that go to the finals. It's to easy to make it to the top 10. All you have to do is hide.
the reason i said 12 is because if you have two games finish and 10 people from each move on, it would make that round with 20 people instead of 24. It could have 6 people move on and only the final 6 win prizes, that is also very possible.
One question, would it cost any money to enter into the tournament? If yes than I would definitely have to +1. I personally play SG whenever I'm online and have time to, if this tournament were to be server run I know that I along with many other would love the competition. However, if the competition is free to enter than it would be just like every other SG game, it wouldn't be nearly as interesting or as competitive simply because you have nothing at stake in the competition.
