Hello everyone! I want to make this suggestion after reading several "complaints" about the kit usage in hunger/survival games. This suggestion is to have a map where there are no kits allowed, including the /kit dsg for donators. I constantly see people claiming that sg is "unfair" with all these kit users, and to have it be "fair" to those without kits/donations, and even those who want a game with no kits, and this aims to solve their problem. I mean, i do not play sg enough to really see this onslaught of kit users, but from threads in the SG section, i can tell. Also... If anyone tries to say "Oh, people have donated for kits, it's part if 'fair' play, they should be better," i just want to say that this is also for those who can donate, but wish not to for kits. Just for fun for non-kit users! No plugins needed i guess? ~zedoker
then people would avoid the kit arenas, making kits worthless. That would be unfair to people with sg kits.
I agree with bolth of you, this would be nice but people would start to aviod kit arenas, as TomKellyCreeper was saying.
Perhaps if, at random at the start of a round on any map, it's declared a kitless round. That way people don't just always jump onto one map. It'd add a bit of variance to the games. However, this would cause round ragequits from those using kits. In any event, I don't see this happening.
One arena without kits wouldn't kill it. If your a serious SGer are you really gonna wait 30 mins for the kit-less arena to end and then rush to get a spot on the next round? It probably will be stocked with people every round. But I've seen like 80 people in SG at the same time, one small arena wouldn't hurt it. It would help more if the arena without kits was small, like half the normal amount of people.
I don't think it's really neccessary. 80% of kit users have no idea how to fight so just find one of them and kill them and its all good.
So I can assume 80% of everyone else doesn't know how to fight? Or do all the bad fighters suddenly decide to buy kits?
I see what you guys mean about the other arenas becoming worthless, but think about it... Will it really? A lot of people have kits, and would much rather use the kits. I would suggest a trial run of this to see the popularity of the arena, and to what pokeby said, maybe a vote should be in order.
I actually agree with the idea of random kitless rounds. Like maybe a 1/10 chance of a kitless round starting or a 1/25 chance. That could change things up. You'd never know if the round would be kits enabled or not. Could get interesting real quick. Revanrose6
I love this idea. This is the best. I got kit saf but I don't like using SG aids. I don't really need help. I think if you want to play REAL hunger games like in the movie with nothing then go to the non kit arena. If you need PvP help then go to the kits and buy like 100 kits. +++1111
Yea thats good if it was a kit round I leave for the next arena and if it wasn't kit I watch some kit people die!
Ps: As for referencing the movie/books. In the books/movies if you were rich/popular they could fly in benfits for you to aid you in winning, similar to the kits. Just saying, in a way the kits make it similar to the movies. Revanrose6
If we wanted to make it similar to the books, we would then make it pretty much normal hardcore minecraft survival i think lol. You could consider the chests in the maps the gifts that get flown in.
