Minecraft Name: I2eptar Suggestion: Every player after 1 week of being on server pays an automatic payment of "rent". This could be based on players rank, net worth, time played on server, so on and so forth. Reason: There seems like there needs to be some money taken out of the economy. As a regular player that sits and watches chats, there is a whole lot of stagnant money laying around and it seems like there is no real way to take money out of the economy effectively. Some people don't have time to make a certain amount of money per week. Another problem with this is that inactive players would start to get negative balances which nobody wants. -1
It doesn't have to be a substantial amount. Like if you were to take 500+ per week (depending on certain accolades), that would be a huge impact on the money from server. Think about it the only way now to take out money from the server is star items and lotto. I personally don't play lotto and I purchased my star tool from a person so therefor I don't contribute to the money being taken out of the server. I just personally think there needs to be a way to remove some funds from the economy.

Ok, not everyone lottos, not everyone shouts and not everyone goes up in ranks/applies for anything. So with that being said thanks for the input.
It would have to be much more than $500 per person per week to actually have an impact... Let's say there are 500 people that are active and are making money 500 x 500 = 250,000 taken out of the economy. That's easily much less than the amount taken out by lotto each day. While inflation is a problem, taxing people isn't going to work. There are too many variables that make it a bit odd to implement. Amount made per week, how active a player is, assets, rank, balance, lotto addiction, etc etc. It won't work. In theory it's not that bad an idea, but taxing isn't something that will happen. Just saying, lotto is incredibly effective. I'd much rather increase lotto tax before even beginning to think about taxing players to just be here.
And not everyone wants their hard-earned money taken from them to counter an issue that is handled just fine by the systems already in place.
