Minecraft Name: OhMrsKittyKat Suggestion: Remove /vanish from nether and the end Reason: It defeats the purpose of a PvP zone, there's supposed to be a risk (even though it may not be great) in the nether. It is too unfair and game breaking to be invincible let alone invisible in the nether or any PvP zone for that matter. Additional Information: How does not being able to go god mode in the nether not increase the risk? If the quartz prices drive up, good, they will bring more life and action to the nether whilst adding another money making method other than melons and eff 7 mining. There's currently NOTHING to entice people to go to the nether, there's no benefits to killing blazes (same exp as mining world mobs. WTF), mcmmo drops are pitiful, the nether fortresses are looted within a week of reset, there's currently nothing in the nether.
I understand the reasoning but I disagree. Very few people really go to the nether to PvP, chances are the End will be similar. Removing vanish won't revive PvP or really add much of a risk, people only go there to mine. You also have vanish only purchasable using ECD now, so it's not exactly P2W, you have to work hard just to get it in the first place.
It doesn't matter if it revives PvP or not. It is game breaking to be invincible and invisible in an area that is meant to have some sort of risk. It might not be pay to win anymore but it sure as hell is game breaking. I have a good feeling people are going to -1 this just because they're too scared to go into the nether without it imo.
I wouldn't call it game breaking since no one PvPs in the nether as well as the fact that it's something you need to work long and hard for.
I completely reject this suggestion but not because I am too scared to go into the nether world. I think of our newest players that continue to lose everything they have because of "campers" that just sit at the spawn and kill them every time they try to go there to mine. That is much more game breaking imo.
-1 Not an issue because PvP doesn't even function in the nether anymore, it has been broken for a very long time.
I mean... if you're going to disable /v in the nether, what about /near? it's 'game breaking' as well, even more so without vanish. I'm going to -1 this suggestion because this doesn't really increase the risk of going in the nether, just the willingness of people to go there. Also... it'll probably drive quartz prices through the roof. Instead of driving players away from the nether, why not think of something to entice them to be there, as well as unvanished? Also, saying that people will -1 this just because they'll be scared to go to the nether might be true, but it also forces people to reassure you that they aren't afraid.... Well, since you need that reassurance, I only use /v in the nether to get away from spawn. Once I'm far enough away I un /v since I want to be available to any users who have questions.
You're not allowed to use /near in the nether, it is disabled. How does not being able to go god mode in the nether not increase the risk? If the quartz prices drive up, good, they will bring more life and action to the nether whilst adding another money making method other than melons and eff 7 mining. There's currently NOTHING to entice people to go to the nether, there's no benefits to killing blazes (same exp as mining world mobs. WTF), mcmmo drops are pitiful, the nether fortresses are looted within a week of reset, there's currently nothing in the nether.
I feel like many of you are concerned that it will be "harder" for you to go to the neather. Weak, grow a pair and stop being greedy. This suggestion brings out the excitement in the neather. I promise you it will be more fun for everyone this way, and should be implemented.
My concern is not for myself, but for every new player that goes into the nether and gets picked off every single time by "campers". They are the ones being greedy - would much rather steal candy from babies that actually go out and work for it. With every single town having, or having the ability to apply for a pvp area, why do these suggestions keep coming up? Buy a town, build it to look like the nether, allow pvp, and invite all the pvp'ers to have a great time!
No. -1 There's still a way to avoid PvP. It is macromod, and it exists for 1.10. http://www.planetminecraft.com/mod/forge-macrokey-19/
