Minecraft Name: Glooble Suggestion: Remove the silk touch enchantment from future eff 7 picks purchased with nstars Reason: It will allow people to choose whether they want silk touch or fortune on their efficiency 7 picks. Any Other Information: I think that since people are paying so much for a pick, they should be able to choose fortune for their pick if they want it Link To This Plugin: N/A
I've suggested something like this. It didn't seem to well recieved. http://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/new-tools-for-star-shop.84623/
Fortune 3 eff 7's are way, way to OP. Imagine having one of each? You could fortune ores like crazy, it would raise your profit quite a bit. -1
Well for starters...two eff7 pickaxes is quite a feat to get...You SHOULD have a higher profit than other people. Also with the new exp prices enchantments aren't cheap to get on anything.
Kuke already said that the 15 or so minutes needed to fortune are crucial to keeping eff7s stable. Without it, the profits would be too high. Although I want to take away the hassle of fortuning placed ores, -1
If you have a fort3 eff7, why would you need to even silk the ores in the first place? You only need the fortune one. -1, don't want to see mining get nerfed again.
You would make 1/2 the money from stone. Also your inventory would be filled very quickly with the fortuned ores, making you stop and sell them
I think the increased profit from not having to fortune the ores would cover those losses and then some. Oh no, help, my inventory is too full of my extra loot!
Very true. Personally I'd just be too lazy to swap them out anyway, I'd just exclusively use fortune :b
It takes me about 10-15 minutes to place and fortune my ores after an hour of mining with an eff7. Although I can't give an accurate number for how much I make an hour any more, as it was way before the redstone nerf. Anyway, with fortune instead of silk touch you save 15 minutes of time. that's a 125% of silk touch. Let's say I make 16k an hour without fortune, I would make 20k an hour with fortune. I say that difference is too large and would only lead to more nerfing of the mining prices, affecting everyone else negatively.
This would be good, i see what kuke says about saving 15 minutes or whatever of time spent on fortuning ores, but you would lose money on mining stone, since cobble is worth 1/2 the price as stone. So you save 15 minutes on mining ores, but lose a great profit when mining trying to find those ores. I believe people should have the choice, i don't see why not. If you want to argue that you can just use a cooking pot to make it stone, think that it would cost $$ to get the feature to make them, or you pay someone to do it for you, and it would take time to get to one, place the cobble, wait a minute, then sell the stone. you would be gaining time on ores, losing time on selling stone, i believe this whole system would be balanced And if you have both types of eff7, you should make a higher profit, because you paid a **** ton of money to get both picks.
Cooking pots are actually pretty cheap and only take a minute to make... Throw the stone in and go put the rest of your earnings away, it'll be done by the time you are. Sent from my NX008HD8G using Tapatalk
if you have an entire inventory of cobblestone it will take 11minutes and 30 seconds to turn into stone, i literally just tested this. i have a home set up at my cooking pot so i can get there fast. but you still have to put in that extra effort just to make the same profit as a silk eff7.
Or you can get more pots and literally cut the time in half or more. I sell pots for 2k each so, really that's not that much to speed things up. Sent from my NX008HD8G using Tapatalk
still, you have to put in that time and effort just to get stone out of the process. you lose money no matter how much time you spend turning the cobble into stone, and i dont see how you can save 15 minutes with an fortune eff7 pick on ores, you could just have a second eff 5 fort 3 pick to mine with as you go. Plus, the only ores you will save time on is coal and redstone, which still doesn't make much money in the first place, so the margin isn't large. I'm not saying that as a deterrent from this idea, i don't see why the option isnt there to give someone a very simple and even choice.
Which makes you wonder who would get an EFF7 just for redstone and coal, its a waste of nStars. Sent from my NX008HD8G using Tapatalk
Some people might have use for it and some might not, why not let people make that choice for themselves? if people dont buy it then who cares? itll be there for that one person that does.
The stone is less than 1k difference for more then 3k profit. So that would make fortune still better by at least 2k.
