Denied [Suggestion] Remove PM pink from patron coloured messages.

+1 This is very annoying when I am in SG and I see this, it distracts me.

 

People thinking it's a PM for a second for reading the entire message isn't a reason to remove it. The feature is 75 USD (67.50 USD because of the sale atm) and you have to wait 10 minutes between uses. This means that usage is not only limited in terms of time, but the number of people that can do it in the first place, -1.

This kinda drives me nuts, I always think someone has PM'd me. However, thats kind of the point, it grabs your attention to look at the ad or whatever is being said.

Its super annoying and can we remove this from nickname+ too.

I get it you guys paid for it but PMs are supposed to be a useful and "private" thing and sometimes serious business takes place in PMs.

 

I don't really get how pink names are that distracting, personally I consider them very pleasing to the eye and not indicative of a PM at all. I'm sure @kukelekuuk00 shares my opinion on that.

Yes PMs are useful and private, putting in a pink message doesn't reveal your most intimate secrets and it doesn't make PMs useless. It'll confuse you for what? A second? Maybe two? It just seems unfair to take this away from the people that donated from it because of the minuscule amount of harm and the already heavy restrictions on coloured chat.

 

While I agree this is annoying and it would be great if removed, I have learned to simply ignore the users that use this troll method.

Just because someone paid for the feature doesn't mean they should be able to troll with it. Sure, there's an amount of time before it can be a nuisance again, but why not just get rid of it and solve the problem outright? Now I know there are probably some users that do actually like the use the color, and don't troll with it, maybe. But It's one of like 16 colors, not to mention there is a color that is pretty similar but won't be confused to be a PM as often. I think people can manage.

 

+1 it seems like a good idea, but while it may not be neccesairy because i've grown to block it out, many builders find it confusing.

 

As I've said before, you'll only confuse is with a PM for maybe a second or two max, so no harm caused. It's a great colour for making announcements and advertisements, it's not only used for trolling. It's simply unfair to remove the colour over a problem so incredibly small.

 

I personally read a whole message because I thought it was a PM, and started typing a response until I realized it wasn't a pm. It's still a nuisance, and an easily fixable one. You would still have 15 other exclusive colors to make announcements and to advertise, so I don't see what the big deal is, especially since there is a very similar color that won't be mistaken as a PM.

 

So you can get used to it then, the pink isn't a problem, it's no ones fault but your own if your own if you don't read an entire message before reacting to it. By this logic we should get rid of all the colours that are used by other chat channels because it's confusing for half a second.
