Minecraft Name:Thecreator767 Suggestion: Reduce cooldown time for selling stocks from 24 hours to 2-4 hours Reason: It cuts into many investors' strategies to have to wait 24 hours to sell a stock. A LOT can change in 24 hours and this 24 hour period just adds a luck factor. Sometimes, I'm close to making a lot of profit before the 24 hours is up, but suddenly, when the stock is up to sell, the price suddenly drops causing a loss. Any Other Information: I don't see any reason why it should be so long. We have a 15 minute delay in price updates, but it doesn't make any sense to me to have to hold onto a possibly volatile stock for at least 24 hours. Link To This Plugin: I assume it's an easy fix considering I've seen people toss around numbers about suggested cooldown. Edit: Also, the exchange is only open for 6.25 hours on the game Do we really have to have a cooldown almost 4 times longer?
As Dc showed, there is already a discussion on this issue so no need for another suggestion. It is a game and I personally think 24 hours is a fair amount of time. I believe that if it was set to 2 hours, you will still find yourself with the chance of the price suddenly dropping just before you selling causing a loss. Finally, as this is a game, may I suggest you look at this as a long term aspect and that it may be wise to stay away from volatile stocks? There are thousands of sites available to play day trader on.
I agree that this discussion should probably be locked as it's kind of a duplicate, but there are stocks that I can almost guarantee will be winners for maybe half a day or less due to their earnings reports. I don't just say DErrrrr.... this stock looks gewd ima buy it xD It's usually based on graphs and what I think the stock will do for that day. This doesn't extend for 24 hours, though.
I understand completely what you are saying, however, there are also thousands of stocks which will make you a winner that will extend over 24 hours. It might be a little more chart work for you, but I have confidence you will find these "winners"
