There's no need for an extra rank. You can give staff a trial period while having the "moderator" rank as well. Not that it's really necessary.
As kuke said, when you first get mod it already is a sort of trial phase. I also can't say that someone that is a [Trial-Mod] or something of the sort would receive a huge amount of respect either.
Moderator itself is sort of a trial. After a month or so, some people get demoted, and some people get promoted in rank. Also like eek said I don't think anyone would listen to/respect them.
I was on staff on a server that gave you the mod title and added a phrase to your nickname. All the players knew it and respected those mods- however in an already established environment such as ECC that already has so many staff ranks... we don't need it. -1
-1, I don't think anyone would take the "trial mods" seriously, and I don't see any need for other Staff Ranks to be added. Moderators are basically already given a trial period, if they mess up, they get demoted, if not they're good
There are really no upsides and only downsides. Denied. p.s. you may want to include a reason with future suggestions.
