Add the ingredients for potions around the map. And have brewing stands randomly scattered around the map as well. It doesn't completely ensure that you'll get a potion, just like finding diamonds doesn't ensure that you'll get a sword. But have the bottles filled with an awkward potion when in chests. Credits go to @Monkeyz505 for the original idea.
Instead of turning SG into a "who has the best potions" game I'd much rather see it take a path towards normal SG with less powerful kits and more of a chance for non-kitters to enchant. Normal SG is the best way to go. Not this revamped ECC SG we currently have.
If you want "Normal SG" abolish all kits and you have it. But that won't happen. And nerfing kits will just make donators unhappy, and people will never stop complaining until the last kit is removed. I'd say we should take a different approach, such as making kits less and less important as we shift more power to non-kitters like adding enchantment tables and brewing. Also, it seems as if you've now taken a different stand? You seemed to be reluctant to nerf/reduce the power of kits until recently.
I thought it was more of "whatever doesn't give me an advantage is bad" than "anything that makes people happy is bad" for you...
