Name: Dr_Dragon_Slayer Suggestion: Put a pop up, almost like a vote reminder, that reminds people to talk in the right chat almost like this: /Ch Trade: For selling stuff /Ch global: Random stuff /ch auction: Auctioning stuff Of course this would be a lot more specific but for your and my sake I'm not going to write them all out. Reason: I have seen many moderators telling people to not talk in X channel or get out of Y channel and all that. I think that is a waste of a moderators time to do this. This would be a good reminder to new players and give almost no excuse for excessively talking in a certain channel that your not supposed to.
Possibly create some sort of program that detects words/phrases that could detect whether or not your in the right channel, to avoid pop-ups that happen to frequently, like voting/SG.
+1 but I am going to have to say that if you are to do this like DrCreeperSlayer said do it like a program like voting/sg as that is something to help.
-1 Awesome. Another reminder I'll have to leave on every log in. And if I can't leave, will just frustrate me until I can learn to ignore/unsee it completely, thereby defeating its purpose. I've been through the tutorial. I've read the wiki (evidenced by my Resident app). Why would I need a reminder to follow the rules? IMHO, I don't think a generic reminder is going to change the pattern of those who chat in auction or advertise in global. The simple warnings that are given are usually enough to 'remind' them to change channels.
If a player says something in the wrong chat, it is either because A- they forgot to switch channels and it was just an accident nbd or B- they're a new player and will subsequently be guided by a mod to the tutorial where they can study the chat channel ins and outs. That said, I don't think this needs to be added right now -1
