Minecraft Name:JacksonML Suggestion:I think there should be a way to vote "Offline"(As in not ingame) and getting rewarded for voting Reason:I have school during the week, as most people do. I am not allowed to play on Minecraft during the week. It upsets me because I want to vote for ECC, but I can't (or atleast I can, but I don't get any ingame prizes, so I don't really want to vote for no reason). I always check my iPod touch before I go to bed, and every night I could vote for ECC. Then when I login on the weekend the netherstars I voted for will show up in my inventory. Any Other Informationretty sure other users would like this? Link To This Plugin:Looking for a plugin that will activate commands when a user logs in. This seems more difficult so maybe NuclearW , md_5 , KHobbits , or snowleo(Is that the name? Couldn't find it with "@") could make this plugin.
The command would be Code: /give [username] 399 [times voted] There would be a .txt file or whatever the plugin would use that would keep track of users that voted and how many nether stars they get. Problems to be thought of: If the user has a full inventory Dupe glitches
Lets put it this way. If you want the netherstars from voting, you have to give up the chance of winning the credits every month. And if you want the credits, there are times where you have to forget about the stars and just vote. If you want good things to happen, there has to be consequences.
I like this idea, +1! I don't know if this will be implemented, as it doesn't solve an existing problem. It is just a convenience thing, but it would be cool to have.
Awesome idea! I too have school during the week, but I vote at around 5 o clock (after school lets out) Anyway, this is a great idea and I hope they add this. Also, maybe if when you vote offline at the end of the month when the votes are counted, the stars could be given to you. But would you be able to tell if it was an online or offline vote?
That would make too much of a hassle for Andrew. With more than 1,000 users on the server (not at once but a guestimage on the number) then the votes can get UP TO: about 180,000 votes. That's 1,000 people voting six times each day for 30 days. That would be a nightmare for Andrew. Voting needs to be automated. Andrew has to deal with paying for the servers(minecraft, ventrilo, website, etc) and then he has to process donations frequently, and also just make sure the server stays a good place to play as it is. Since our goal is to get ECC on the front page of server sites, this could get ECC to the front but also really high up. KHobbits
this would also be a very good idea but what why do you think im see Why Mctop was disabled because it was paying the file till to check but this would do it every time somebody join the server it would take the file in crate way more like a good idea but I doubt it'll happen
Well, if we had about 100 players that needed to be paid their netherstars, it would be about a 1.9KB text file. That's not much for 100 players. Then just keep that in RAM and that would be probably (completely random guess at 9:26PM) 8KB of data. When a user logs in there would be a filter that the login action goes through. When a player logs in if it is successful at a filter that would check to see if its on the list then it will get the nether star count and give the player that many nether stars. It would be even simpler if it put the stars in an enderchest. When you vote it checks to see if you're online. If you are, it gives you the nether stars, but if you're offline, then it finds an empty spot in the enderchest and puts them in there. That way it can be instant just like it always has been. Remember we're running on an extremely powerful server.
Enderchests are an extension to your regular inventory, they're in the same file as your inventory, so they're not loaded when you are offline.
If you want NetherStars/Rewards, I don't see a problem with taking ten seconds or so to load up your browser and vote. We've had this voting system for about two years, I don't see a reason to change.
Good thing I sit at my computer all day. No, I'm not at home 24/7; I can't be on buy I can still vote on my phone. And what about when the server is down?
You wait until it's back up..? Either way, I misunderstood this Suggestion originally, but now that I do understand it.. I don't really have an opinion.
