Banning teaming would make sg competitions more enjoyable for everyone. This is supposed to be a free for all, with the victor being decided by total wins. Having teams makes it incredibly easy for a specific player to win. Here's how it works. 1) rule is added to the main post for the competition. 2) players can file complaints (or staff complaints) if they suspect users of teaming 3) users that were found to be teaming cannot enter into sg during competition period 4) complaints are filed as primarily video evidence, the same way as hacking complaints. this system is entirely dependent on player complaints. I do not seriously expect staff to enforce it upon themselves. Therefore it is the players' duty to enforce the rules.
Okay, so I and another user are both fighting another user. Yes, we land some hits on each other, but the by far majority of our hits land on the user we're fighting. We're not even teamed and I kill the guy afterwards. So, the user in question files a complaint on us for teaming, and the staff think we're teaming. So I and that other player getting wrongly banned is the answer? That'll cause a lot of complaining. All of that aside, I can only see this cause a lot of issues like players getting wrongly banned in my example above. It's also nearly impossible to enforce, let alone that it would cause a lot of work for staff. Also, there are many new players who don't know the rules, and they and their friends enter SG teamed, someone reports them and they get banned??? It's just not possible to effectively enforce. Yes, a lot of people aren't that happy with people teaming, but teaming will always be a part of PvP whether we like it or not.
Staff can see edit history, but eh. Anyway. I partly agree with this; the staff team itself is absoloutely insane with the amount of high level sg'ers. I disagree with the banning of it, discouraging, very much I agree. Maybe a team registration idea so that teams can't shove all themselves into #1-10. And that way only the top member on that team is counted. More fair for others in terms of the competition itself.
that's like asking a kid not to eat candy in a candy shop... unless action is taken, no one would observe the rule
Why not give every user in no kits games a compass? That way it will make it harder for teams, and easier for non teamers?
How will this be enforced and how will it show exactly who is teaming with who? Some people will easily be framed for something that can likely remain false. This is the main gap of the entire suggestion. The whole thing will be difficult for staff to handle and pick out. And not to mention the the bans that will be made when people do not team and yet get banned. It will make the staff team seem like a band of powerf people that ban other people for no reason. Also, Survival Games is strategy. Team with people all you want, but there will be backstabbers. You got to choose the right people. People you trust will likely not backstab you, but who knows? Additionally, realize that lots of people that team up when they have no kits. Will two people with stone swords and leather armor defeat another player with Buffer? Most likely not. As for kitters, well, everyone has their own strategies. If you don't like the teaming and becoming underpowered (how it feels to be a Builder that is not an Exil), then team with someone yourself or quit SG. -1
