Minecraft name: PULLH20 Suggestion: A non mind-numbing method of making more than $7,500 EcoDollars per hour on a regular basis. Reason: Currently, it seems like the only good way of making money in ECC is by either farming or mining. Both of these methods are incredibly AFK-able and extremely boring. When I log on to ECC, it's because I want to have fun in a game, not do more "work" (although I don't consider farming or mining to be work). For this reason, I believe there should be a fun way of making a reasonable number of ECD per hour. Other information: Optimally, the method would not be extremely repetitive, or if it was, it would offer new content each time you did it. In other words, I don't want to have to walk in a straight line back and forth along a row of melons or pumpkins for 3-4 hours just to make $50,000 ECD. I'd much rather do something fun for 6 hours to make that amount of money. This way, the intense grinders would still have an advantage, but everyone else could have fun playing the game. "non-mind numbing" That's a very subjective statement. If you're good at pvp, you can try SG. But any other method can be mindnumbing. I myself just do whatever I feel like doing to make money, this ranges from farming, mining, building, sg, lottery. The more fun things to do is mining quartz in the nether, or mining with an eff7 pick. Again, you're not limited to making money with farming. Farming just happens to be the best way of making money. Be creative, think of something else on your own. Get a spawnshop, go play sg, there are so many ways to make money.
Shops; buying, reselling, and sniping; selling plots; doing work for other people (building work shouldn't be mind-numbing like digging/mining/planting); change it up and "farm" wild clay in the Mining World, or Quartz in the Nether; find a spawner in the Mining World and harvest/kill mobs for their loot + mcMMO skill; get some good mcMMO skills for things like getting mob heads, better loot from dirt/clay/etc; buy and resell towns and/or plots; jump on Mining World resets for Stronghold loot... There are a lot of ways to make money, and many can easily make ~7k+/hr. You just gotta be willing to try things out and explore. Being that ECC is a "Hardcore Economy Server," that means you will have to put work into making money... Even if it's mind-numbing, requires planning, or time. As well, 1.7 will probably bring in more things for market/money-making and fun, like 1.6 did with horses for a while. However, I would like more focus on different things for making money... but Minecraft only has so much content before you get into messy plugins, or before changing a price on ECC makes a giant mess of the economy. ;-;
Well, lets say this, different jobs have different yields for different starting investment and management. To mine or farm, I need a tool and a target. Boring. To sell mansions to individuals, I need interaction. But it may take me 5-10 minutes to sell that or something similar. Shops require stocking, management, assessments... I agree with what you say somewhat. But I look at what I know. What was the last adicting game I played: WoW. What could I do there to keep interest and make money? farm, craft, pvp, RAID, QUEST. Minecraft isn't a raid and quest game, though there are servers and mods that try to achieve this, the fundamental focus is different, and I think ECC adds an economic layer, with some sprinkles, that encourages communal interaction... I do think some more games other than the hunger games format would be nice, though I don't know what to suggest as additions because I haven't explored such at all...
