Thread Title: Adding 2 new chat channels for Tycoons and Eco-Leaders Minecraft Name: sick24 Suggestion: Adding two new chats to the server for the people who have the ranks of Tycoon and Eco-Leader Reason: Really the only thing you get with the ranks is the extremely smexy in-chat tags. I believe that you should be able to get a little more for 500k and 1 million Eco-Dollars: Access to an exclusive chat channel Other Information: This would also further encourage people to buy Tycoon and Eco-leader thus taking money out of the economy. I can imagine that the elite few would love to chat around with each other, plan lotto snipes, and poke fun at the rest of the server in peace. Link to this plugin: Since we already have a chat plug-in, I believe the admins would just need to add this channel and make it have permissions, much like staff chat does.
I don't really see the need for it. It's also very hard to watch multiple chats, which I already have to do.
Well, I know this sounds stupid but, maybe some mods are assigned to certain channels. For example, you would watch over Trade and Global while lets say WiKiDoNe watches the tycoon and eco leader channels.
As a tycoon, I think this is an amazing idea. It would be very nice for a way to communicate to other tycoons without having to pm each one, or take it to global. +1 for sure!
Instead of making 2 chat channels: one for tycoons and one for ecoleaders, merge them together into 1 chat channel for both.
I personally think there should be a chat for every rank, like a res+ chat, mayor+ chat ect, it would be just like how on the forums there are special areas for certain ranks.
Splotchy, as many mods have said before, it is very hard to moderate different chat channels, and if we did implement them, there would be so many colours that everything would just get confusing
No. The only thing that could encourage me to waste money on another rank is if it actually got me something useful. More Locks for instance. Tycoon and EcoLeader are a place to prove you have money to waste. I'd rather USE my money than WASTE it.
I remember Harryhaz1 and austinsplaneguy were trying to create a town called "Tycoon" and create a chat channel for it, I'm wondering if they are still going this, and if they are how far they are. If they gave up on this idea, I'd love to make my third town called "Tycoon" and create a chat channel for it, I have about 80k and if any tycoons would like to chip in let me, I also think I'll give each Tycoon+ a free plot in this town, just like the Pres+ town.
