Item/Rank/Feature: Nether Brick Data Value: dec: 405 hex: 195 bin: 110010101 (I believe this is the data value, i'm still a little confused on what that is exactly, even after viewing the format) Current Price: 0.10 ECD Suggested Price: 0.40 ECD Brief Description: If you smelt one netherrack, you will receive one nether brick. Open Discussion: Netherrack are quite useless, the only reason they're worth more than stone is that you need access to the nether. This gives them an illusion of rarity, but overall, netherrack are useless. Nether bricks, however, are EXTREMELY useful. You can make stairs, slabs, fences, and walls! Perhaps there are more uses that I am unaware of. A nether brick is as useful as a stone, wouldn't you agree? Fence, stairs, etc. However, nbricks are less accessible to the general public because you need nether access. This decreased accessibility with the combination of it's usefulness should point out that nether bricks have more worth than stone. So how come they are the same price of 0.10 ECD?
Whilst I can understand you wanting the price raised, I feel that nether bricks are one of the few items which the prices are driven by players. My shop buys nether brick blocks for $1 each for example. They are in quite high demand I find, so I would suggest taking a walk through the market and you can probably sell them for a lot more than their current, or your suggested, /sell value.
@Dewsy92 where's your market? Cause I haven't found a shop yet that'll buy nether bricks. Then again, I've only looked the the blue market.
Small question..tried /worth for nrack and nbricks. Nrack is worth 0.05$, and so it is the same price as normal cobble and its smelted version has exactly the same worth as netherrack and its smelted version. So, isn't that already balanced?
@MrJiggle123 @314 You're right, I apologize. I edited the post. Now onto business…. In my opinion, netherrack is worth more than cobblestone; and nether brick is worth more than stone. This is, obviously, because the nether materials are less accessible to the general community. I understand that cobblestone is more useable than netherrack considering how tools can be crafted from it, so I will agree that with the rarity of netherrack and the usability of cobblestone: they should be the same price. But nether bricks? Not only are they less accessible than stone, but they also have the same uses. These attributes should bump up it's price to at least 0.40 ECD, wouldn't you agree?
You are right. Prices: 1 nrack($0.05) = 1 cobble($0.05) 1 nbrick = 1 stone($0.10) 4nbrick = nbrick block($0.40) = 4stone($0.10 times 4 = $0.40)
+1 I think the price still should be a little higher then is currently is. The way of obtaining the item is still alot harder then normal blocks. You still need to buy the rank and fight off players and smelt it. So the current price is too low. Maybe .25 ECD? So whole brick blocks are a dollar?
One nether brick is 0.1$. You are talking about 4 nether bricks, thus about a nether brick block. Those are worth 0.4$.
Oh I got bricks and blocks mixed up i thought he was talking about the block itself. Not the pieces that make it up. that was my bad *derpface here*
