AUC Is always getting spammed with people trying to Auction over each other, so to solve this why not find a way to add AUC2 AUC3 and give them variant colors so that we can have 3 auctions going at once. This reduces spam. Allows more Auctioning. Reduces confusion of who's bidding on what Auction.
i like the idea but then how would you see them all it would get confusing yet it already is confusing so
I tried answering this - New name lables [AUC1] [AUC2] [AUC3] Aswell as this you could Color-Code them... Give each one a different color so its easier to see.
+1 only except [Random Auction] [Middle Auction] [Grand Auction] Random Auction would be mystery auctions and any auction with a starting bid at lower than 150. Middle Auction would be for auctions with a starting bid between 150 and 1000. Grand Auction would be 1000+ starting bid auctions. Honestly, I don't want to pay $25 for something. Also we could come up with some guidelines for each like dirt cobble and planks go in Random, Diamonds and large amounts of iron (32+) go in Grand. Just a variation on your idea.
Adding more channels is a huge hassle and makes things messier. As much as I'd like more channels for certain things (not auction), it just wouldn't work too well... Even if there was more auction channels, I'd like to see them for as you rank up. Get Mayor, get auc2. Get President, get auc3. At least so there isn't so much insanity all at once. (Also, them being different colors would not work well - we use most colors already, or things will become more confusing.) Can't really make very-specific channels, either. Would be too hard to monitor. :/ (@Zaneus) Only way to really have more than one auction going at once is to have users use a symbol or phrase. Or use the forum. Forum might be slower, but it's still a possibility. "64 Diamonds - Starting at 500, minimum bids of 50 - Add ** to your message if bidding!"
Instead of more auction channels we need a script type plugin where the only thing that goes in auction are commands to start an auction or bid on one etc. Usually its just one more global channel and doesn't seem worth being in because of that. I don't know how well the developers for ECC are at making custom plugins but if they could make one for doing auctions I would be pretty stoked.
