I will not use the format for this suggestion; It just doesn't quite suit it. I suggest that you add another way of ranking up--"resident" means something, not paying 15,000$, no. Being a resident is living in a community, I think of that as a village, town or city. Those who live in a community like I do should be given the rank of resident be cause it only makes sense, I mean, you could be homeless, rack up some cash and apply to become a resident, but that doesn't mean you're actually a resident. You're probably thinking it would be too much work to judge every builder separately just to approve their residency, well, not necessarily in your case... The moderators. By request certified moderators or town owners would verify your residency with the founder of your community or any existing proof that you live there. I think this system would be very straightforward: Live in a residence - Become a resident. Paying 15,000$ to become a resident doesn't make sense. TL;DR: Living in a residence should make you a resident.
The whole Resident rank is based upon a money sink. Money is added to the server all the time by farming, and in order to reduce inflation this is the syatem we use. Also, another aspect of it is that residents are more trusted than builders to enter towns and other such things. The reason for this is that people do not go spend $15,000 just to go grief and have their time wasted. Or other things such as Xray. Its a collatoral to help deter from rule breaking as well as a money sink. :\ sorry about that, but i would suggest farming if you want resident
Well I think the problem with your idea is it’s an economy server. Users are encouraged to participate in the economy and help it grow stronger and better. So it’s only natural we mark how well you have done in our economy by the real way people mark economic success, how much money you have. If you’ve spent the time to gather 15k, you have shown you’re committed to our economy and server. So in that sense you have gained the residency you have described above. I could see your idea if we were focused on building cool structures and such, but were not.
