Minecraft Name: Theory5 Suggestion: I move that we add a "rename town" feature for mayors and up, allowing any mayor+ who is unhappy with their current town's/nation's name to petition to have it changed. There would of course be a small fee (5-10k perhaps?) for use of this feature, and only mayors would have the power to change it, not co-mayors. This would prevent any unauthorized changes. Reason: This is an economy server, and I find it to be the high of hypocrisy that we cannot change the name of land we own or purchase. Land has historically been one of the most prized possessions because land ownership bestowed a higher social status upon the individual. As the free market that built America developed, land became a commodity, more so because it granted the owner the ability to make more money with things like farms and eventually factories. As land traded hands via commercial interaction it frequently changed names as well, as was the owners right. So, because land has the ability to change hands via the economy, it should also have the ability to change names. This does not mean that every mayor will immediate rush to rename their towns, but it leaves a little leeway for people who don't feel their name accurately reflects what their town has become. Thanks for your time, Theory5
Re: [suggestion] movement to add "rename town" feature for m The problem is that the town may have to have it's world-guard region deleted and then a new region set with the new name. This would remove all the members. If it had to be done this way then it should be 50k at least. and if it could be simply renamed then it should be 20-40k.

Re: [suggestion] movement to add "rename town" feature for m We used to have this, it was removed for a reason.
Re: [suggestion] movement to add "rename town" feature for m Same reason everything else was removed.
