Minecraft Name: bombfacter Suggestion: In recent weeks ECC player market shop has filled up with small openings for a small amount of time. My suggestion today would be to build more spawn shops ! Not a lot to make prices come down etc, just enough to accommodate the growing mass of players who want shops! Reason: The shops are filling up! THIS IS BAD Any Other Information: Link To This Plugin:
+1 I would love to see another tier of shops implemented into the market. Openings have become slim since the move and the popularity has sky rocketed.
Lag is seriously gonna be an issue here. Some markets generate a lot of lag as it is. I have been looking into renting a market shop. Looking at current options does not look very promising.
-1 there is a new HUGE shop a spawn now. I would like to see the server time invested in other projects not to expand an already new branch of the server its just going to be repetitive. The more and more players that join the more and more space will be needed, and I personally think its big enough. - if anything maybe you should suggest a time limit for spawn shops? -Or a reservation list for a specific spot? -Or make one of your own? Of course this just my personal opinion that the size is big enough.
-1 Theres actually quite a bit of shops open on the green side last time I checked. Honestly, this will increase lag, as if it isnt bad enough as it is right now.
Unfortunately, I am going to have to strongly disagree with this suggestion. Having more competition, actually, in my opinion, is a good thing. And economy is run on competition. The spawn market is a great place for players to make money, and if you want a shop, you have to find someone who is willing to give up their shop. If we keep adding more shops, the market will become useless if more people start owning them and won't be buying from the current shops. That being said, there are already plenty of shops which people don't know how to run (obviously not the prime shops) and they aren't very successful. Adding a whole new tier would just be a waste of space, and those shops would get little to no business, and will be poorly managed. In theory, I can see how the idea of adding more shops might be exciting. However, when you think about it more deeply, I don't think it's something that we can work out considering the less SpawnShops we have, the better. -1
The current shop design follows 4 streets in 4 directions to space out the loading of trade signs in the hopes of reducing lag that people can experience because only a certain number of chunks are loaded. The entire market zone is a giant square. The corners are unused, and probably have enough room to add several shops, without the loaded space overlapping the chunks where the shops are right now.
Personally, I feel that there are enough spawnshops already, but, there are quite a few economic and player positives. First, it will take money out of the economy. Taking money out is huge, and is needed, therefore, this will help that cause. Secondly, it will keep our player base happy. By adding more of these shops, players will be content with more open for buying/selling items and for being able to own/maintain a shop. The only downside is lag. If lag becomes an issue, all bets are off and this should be taken away immediately. Overall, I feel that a few more shops could be added. +1
