Title: Add more IGN text colors to the chat IGN: somkar8 Suggestion: I've been around ECC long enough to grow a little crazy about all the green, purple, and orange IGN texts in the server chat. So, I think being able to choose another color or two will suffice to this situation. I would suggest red or dark blue ( to differ from the mod's IGNs). No other info.
(I believe) There are only 16 colors available in minecraft chat without a client-side plugin, and various ECC officials have stated over the years that ECC will never require client-side plugins. White: Global Lt. Grey: Trade Grey: Not easily visible Black: Not visible Red: Alert Yellow: Local Orange: President+ name color Pink: really? yuck Lime: Resident name Green: Mayor name and Party Chat Lt. Blue: Trivia chat? Blue: Not easily visible Cyan: unused Magenta: PM's (hard to match this one in forum colors...) Purple: Not easily visible Brown: Not easily visible Somewhere in those colors is also a Staff Chat. Unfortunately, there AREN'T any colors left.
cyan is used for auction and purple is currently used for resident-president names in pvp areas such as SG.
*shrugs* close enough I'm at work, so all the colors I did were from memory. Can't flip between the website and MC right now.
Dark Blue is developer colour I'm sure. Red is Administration. Therefore, these colours won't work for normal players' ranks.
