Minecraft Name: User_1241 Suggestion: An overview map of the server that updated every month or so. I remember the original interactive map a few months back which was extremely useful, and apparently it caused lag? If that is the case you could do the map rendering during the monthly nether/mining world resets. This map would be a still image that could give everyone a rough idea of how the world look's from above. Reason: Its an essential feature for such a large-scale server! Uses could include: finding a clear spot to build a town, getting an idea of how close other towns are, finding a specific biome, etc. It would also be very cool to compare the month images and see how the server progresses over time. Other: I don't know how you'd go about doing this but it would add to the excitement of raffles/world resets you get at the start of months.
Yes!! A while back I asked andrew about a weekly draw and he replied with a no, then i said what about a monthly draw? And he replied with a "We'll see" and yet...i have yet to see.
To be honest is it worth the effort, in my opinion it is not. The world can change a lot in a period of a month, it is just more work for the server staff /

This would require the server to be down for at least 2 hours once a month, just for a livemap, and it would be outdated during times of the month's. I say no, we are fine the way we work now.
OK. Thats what i heard. after looking further into the plugin, i agree with you. The server, when its down, i get very very inpatient. I know my voice is 1 in a million, but i now agree. not a good idea
Personally, I want a map once a month to see where potential towns are, I see no harm in a 2 hour downtime? Maybe it can happen during the mining and nether world resets. I currently am having trouble finding a spot for a town, I'm sure some people are in the same boat as me.
Yes i would LOVE to have a static map to be regened at lease once a month at mining reset ( or not). I see how this could be updated at lease 1 time a month but when it redraws the map we would only feel as much lag as we did with the old map just for an hour or so. Also that it can be set to redraw on off peak so that way if doesn't affect a lot of people. Tl;dr: +1
