Hia!, Recently, andrewkm has hosted an event known as "Minerun" Where andrew spawns around a 200x200x3 slab of land above the mining world, then a tp request is sent to all users, if they accept they are teleported to this area, they then have 2 minutes to build fortification, then the area becomes pvp, and andrew begins to cycle the 200x200x3 through various valuable blocks, so the area would suddenly be diamond blocks, emerald blocks, ores and other rarity's, now, andrew has hinted at this possibly becomming a regular event, or even a plugin, so, below, please post what you would like to be added, changed, or removed about minerun. This Thread is so andrew know's what all teh ecc users want with minerun!
This isn't a new event, it was created loooong ago, and it was removed for good reasoning. If it became a regular event, I believe it would upset the Economy in certain places. I know these events are fun, but I think they should be a one-time thing, like our Crazy Lottos, Snipes, etc. Not a plugin/commonly scheduled thing, this will ruin the anticipation, and curiosity of the event.
I agree with jets. I jokingly brought up mineruns to andrew after jets reminded me of them last week. I'm glad he actually did host one, but I'd hate for it to become a regularly scheduled event. I would love to see more events in the future though. A different event a few times a week would be nice. There are some other really fun things we used to do, so maybe andrew will consider bringing some of those old things back too.
I too agree with jetscat, but I think mineruns might be a fun addition to the game. Maybe use less expensive ores in mineruns and make them every 2 weeks or so?
Mhm, i'd like there to be one every couple of weeks, or perhaps on one day every couple of weeks he does 1 every 6 or so hours, so people in different time zones don't miss out : D
Yes but isnt that every once in a while? Also,(I am guessing, as I have never played an Andrewkm snipe nor mineran) isn't snipe easier than Minerun?
I went to one and got a bunch of ore! it's a great fun way to make some money, but nothing comes without risk though... Without risk there's no reward so I believe that this should be regular well like snipes at least.
More often however less valuable things. please get rid of the blocks because those can quickly mess up the economy. like every 6 hours daily with mostly coal, iron, and gold with an occasional redstone/diamond and 1-2 emerald.
